Adding Weight To An 03 Speedport

How does one add weight to an 03 Speedport racquet? The speedports kind of prevent adding lead tape on the end or the 3 and 9. I don't want to screw up the balance by putting weight in the handle. Can anyone help me?

adding weight to 12 or 3/9 will make your o3sp more head heavy. for the o3sp red, the only place to add weight without changing the balance is right at the top of the throat.

that said, you can add tape easily to the square speedports by cutting slats and tucking the tape that would normally overhang into the sides of the speedport.

If I added weight to the 12 or 3 and 9, I would balance it out with some more weight in the handle. Wouldn't it be difficult to cut slats into lead tape? (As you can see, I have no prior experience with racquet customization.)

to cut slats, just measure the width of the speedport and make cuts to the width and depth of the port; then press the tape overhang down into the port. as the tape is flexible, the cuts don't have to be perfect.

yes, you can counterbalance the effect of the weight in the head by adding to the handle. i would use weight at the bottom of the yoke as an approximation of weight in the handle until you find a combination you like; then you can do to the trouble of sticking the weight inside the handle or wrapping it under the grip.
