I have no idea what you are trying to accomplish. That is what makes it so weird.
That's just it. I am not trying to accomplish anything, man. I'm just having fun, stating my preference. That is IT. That is ALL. OK? I'm not trying to make you feel bad about liking the GHOAT, I'm not trying to put Nike out of business, I'm not trying to persuade everyone to buy only adidas as I do. One brand is no fun, because no one brand can be everything to everyone. Nike has done great things for the industry, although they've driven prices up and done some unnecessarily salacious advertising. They are an American behemoth, just the way most Americans like their behemoths - big and oppressive and clout-wielding and monolithic. I don't happen to like that, but that's just my opinion. (They're also technologically advanced and always striving to get better, which is a very good thing. They all feed off each other and push each other, the big companies, which is why the competition between them is a good thing.) And adidas represent history, both in terms of their corporation's longevity and their roster of former greats. Rod Laver wore adidas - and still does - which is why I became an adidas fan back in the Seventies. I just happen to be very brand loyal in general, but no more so than with adidas. That's it, really. That's all. I just want to say what I want to say without being attacked for no real reason. Disagree if you want, but don't try to turn me into some kind of Internet thug or "troll." Like what you want. Wear what you want. Wear what works for you. Be happy. Have fun. Play well. OK?
