APDC Weight and balance...

I love my APDC, everything about it is what im looking for but its missing one part....And thats the ability to flatten out a forehand on a no pace return ball.

It seems like I cant get the plow through to really flatten out my forehand for an easy winner ( which I was able to do with my previous racket which was the k95 )

So I was thinking about adding 1lb of weight to it....

Now my issue is this...If I add 1/2lb of lead weight to the 3 and 9 oclock of the head and 1/2lb of weight in the handle will this mess anything up that I love about this racket?

Will this cause the racket to lose its "whippyness" or change the balance?

Let me know what you think or if you have an expirence with this.

Thank you

1 oz is quite a lot. It will make it a completely different racquet. I would suggest you start with a much smaller amount of weight, and gradually increase it until you've found the 'best'.

As far as balance is concerned, that greatly depends on where in the handle you put the lead. SW will also increase by adding lead in the hoop.

You can use this sheet to predict the changes is weight, balance, swingweight, and plowthrough.
