A stupid thing but....
Since today, the website of babolat banned/deleted all related to puerta of his site (photos, text, etc)....
So...nadal is the onlyone poster boy for the arepro drive.....so perhaps with the down of Puerta , some top 10-15 who use babolat will try the aeroprodrive ?

It is entirely possible that Puerta's contract has expired and Babolat was planning to take him off the site anyway (but more than likely its due to the fact that he can't endorse the racquet if he's not playing tennis any more).

And most likely Babalot wants absolutely no association between it's rackets and drugs . Bad for business....very bad.

It's also likely that in any athletes contract there's a stipulation that says that if the contracted player is found guilty for drug use/PED's or a certain crime etc. and is suspened from the sport their contract may be voided.

Puerta used to use lead tape visible on his Aeropro Drive when he played on the tour. About 5 inches at the 3 and 9. Who knows what was under his handle? Kryptonite?

In marketing, there is no such thing as bad publicity. The one time that the tennis world will play close attention to Puerta is now. Now would be the best time ever to have Puerta as an endorsement client. People will be clicking on articles all over the web. If they see a Babolot racquet in his hand playing the Roland Garros Final, that is good advertising.

I do not think that any rational thinker would really connect doping with the product a player endorses.

Of course, no sponsor would want to go overboard and give the impression that they support what he did. They certainly would not want to use him as as spokesman. Going forward, he will really have nothing new to offer as an endorser.
