from what i'v noticed about feder, when someone approaches and comaes up to net and hits to federer's backhand, i would say about 90-95% of the time he goes down the line for the pasisng shot. if i were an opposing player i would wait for it to go down the line because it is so perdictible. has anyone else noticed this, or am i totally off on this issue?

No it's not even close to 90-95%, his flick backhand half-volley passing shot is unmatched by anyone else, and he's been using that quite effectively.
You can't guess it as easy as that.

^ i understand its not as easy as that, and i have noticed that his backhand passing shot is good, but it just seems to me that he uses it down the line so much more often

The OP should have never have given out this information for free. Just think how much the OP could have made selling this information to the guys on the tour (who play tennis for a living and haven't figured this out). Wow, what a lost profit.

Not funny. OP can post his opinions or ask questions as he choose to and you can choose to respond or ignore.
Ridiculing is not nice.
