Forehand wrist question.

when hitting a forehand and the wrist is laid back, do i lock the wrist to keep it laid back throughout the whole forehand motion? or o i just lay the wrist back and let it go naturally?

Lock then let go is what I usually do.
But...............
May cause serious wrist injury if not done right or so thats what I have heard.

You don't lock the wrist. You lay it back as part of preparing to swing. After that the wrist is basically along for the ride. It naturally unloads on the follow through. One thing you don't want to do is try to swing with the wrist. The main motion that many describe as wrist snap is actually arm rotation.
