Genesis Black Magic vs Kirschbaum Proline 2-- Similar strings ?

OK,, TW has sale going on Proline 2 strings. which is great string in itself. I can attest for that. I used it for 4 years. Great power, good spin, and nice feel. but from what i am hearing about GENESIS black magic,,,,,it has very similar characteristics.....

So is there any of you that tried both. and if so which do you think is superior string and why ?

It has much better power. but less spin. feel is better with Proline 2 but control might be slightly better with RPM blast.

The BM is softer string and lasts longer. Similar spin and power.

I've used both and found Black Magic to be much better. I felt when P2 started to go it became a rocket launcher and people call it soft but I didn't see it that way. I found BM to have better "feel" better spin and tension maintenance. It also it much softer with better control. Just my 2cents.

Thanks alot for your input. If this is true then BM is much better string with LOWER price to boot.........

I thought PL2 was pretty soft as far as poly goes. definitely softer than Alu power.... but i do agree with you that PL2 when start to go dead, it becomes very difficult to control. but freshly strung, it plays pretty nice.

I am a long time user of Proline 2 but i have not tried the Black magic yet. I wonder what makes Typhoon better than Black magic ??
