Getting UNHAPPY with My APDC

Hi All,

Anyone is growing or has grown unhappy with the APDC???

I'm not sure whether it's the weeks old string, bad/worn out string or the constant switching between different rackets, my apdc has been giving me a "dead" feel. The ball coming off of it feels muted and the racket face feels like a hard board. The racket does not fly thru air swiftly anymore.

On the other than my ntour95 feels more lively. Moves swiftly, ball bounces off with ease, giving a nice solid "thud" sound, and it's really more maneuvable, too.

How can a racket (apdc) costing 3x more yet can't offer as much?

I'm so close to putting it in a closet and just focus on my reliable ntour95, if it did not cost so much.

I honestly don't know. I just picked a $20 (fit my budget) string. Pro----- something from a clear pastic, hybrid (lime cross and golden main) made in Japan :)

Yeah, the string is showing some wears and some already have cut into each other.

Just change the string..... That racket is great, it is either you, your racket being damaged or the more likely, your string. Don't jump to conclusions so quickly

Try msv hex mains 1.18mm, with cyber flash 1.25mm crosses.

I do not recommend using msv 1.18 on the apdc, its breaks within 6 hours of play and loses playability after about 3 hours. I find more action and feel using some crappy string such as enduro gold 16g... it amazed me really, but I get way more feel and durability.

I can of understand how you feel, after 2+ years of playing it, I decided to try the pure drive gt+. I was demoing the RQIS but decided to stick with the pd. Sometimes change is inevitable. So now I have 3 Aeropro drives and 2 pure drives+, but at 50 im lucky to keep up with some of the punks I play with.
Good Luck!!
