Hybrid string tension differential

I've used Hurricane Pro Tour 17 on the mains @55 and Gamma Livewire XP 17 on crosses @61 (on a Prince Speedport Black) on the recommendation of a stringer who just moved out of the area. The combo has been working well, gives me enough poly grab without some shoulder issues I had on full poly.

I took it to a new stringer who said he doesn't recommend any more than 4 lbs apart, and most pros string 2 lbs apart with poly/hybrid setups.

I'll experiment with the tension differential closer, but does stringer number 2 speek truth or fiction?

Most stringers lose tension on the speedport crosses. Chance are the differential will be fine in your racquet. Keep it @ 55 & 61.

I tend to hit long on lower tension. But yeah, I've noticed I get 15 sets, tops, out of the combo.
