Leather grip in different racquets

LP Portugal

New User
Greetings from Portugal
I use leather grips on my very stiff racquets: Yonex Ezone 100 (2020) and Tecnifibre t rebound 298 Iga and really like it.
Last week I put a leather grip on my old Wilson nCode nPro open 100 (2008) and almost immediately felt arm soreness.
They all have the same fresh strings: Tecnifibre black code 1.24 at 23 Kgs (Iga at 22 Kgs).
Is it just my imagination or someone else had a similar experience?
Thanks!

I have always put a leather grip on every racquet I own if it didn't come with one. I like leather because it seems to give more direct feedback when the ball hits the strings. More shock? To me it is more "feel". Then again I don't have tennis elbow.

Probably has more to do with the size of the grip than anything. Yonex rackets have a larger handle than most, if not all, Wilsons. So, if you applied the same type leather grip, the Wilson is going to be smaller. Not sure about the TF.
