LM Prestige Mid String and Tension combinations?

I've gone through alot of different strings and tensions.
As of now i've most liked Head Ultra Tour 17 at 57 lbs. Normally I use TNT 16g, formerly at 68 lbs. Lately I moved it down to 60 lbs. Then I used the Ultra Tour. Now I have TNT at 57 lbs.
TNT feels alot stiffer than Ultra Tour....Does this make sense being that Ultra Tour is a Polyester?
I think based upon the Ultra Tour I may want to try Big Banger at around the same tension, is this advisable?

I really like the feel of the lower tension poly. It feels really....fluid, connected, natural in terms of connection with the ball. It feels like i can really put the ball wherever I want.
Though with this tension I am afraid I may sail some balls on return of serve, i'm not sure if I should stick with this low tension or try another string at a higher tension.
Can I string a Poly higher and still have I guess the smooth feel to it? Or should I try a Multifilament at a higher tension. ( I was thinking maybe Gamma Revelation at 64-66 lbs.)

Anyone have some advice for me?

I have had good success with the Unique Tournafibre Irradiated 17 at 60# in the winter and 62# in the summer with one of my higher level customers who uses the LM Prestige. He tested a lot of different strings and landed on this one.

wow, you strung a LM prestige at 68? no deformities?

But yea ive used prestiges for abt a year now,

ive tried the following strings:

wilson extreme 17 syn gut - *cough* crap *cough*...who said that?

prince original syn gut 16 - prob the best syn guy

head syn gut 16 - eh

head syn gut pps - a lil more power...less control

head fibergel spin 16 - very good spin, great multifilament

Luxlion super poly 16g - good string...not much spin potential but lasts a long time

next strings:

lux big banger alu power rough 16l

ashaway monogut 17

but yea, personally i dont recommend stringing the poly at a high tension, it WILL deform the head of your racquet, but if you really want go for it, you will probably end up using a lot more of your own strength

multi is good but it will break fast, i broke it after playing everyday for a week for abt 2-3 hrs during summer last year. so if you want to go with multi, buy several packs.

very string sensitive, IMHO

Yes, I did enjoy Head Ulta Tour 16L in my Classic MID - it played very lively and had to be tight...

I do love these frames for the control and ability to flatten out balls, but so string sensitive... really can change the feel...

IMo, find a string that you like and then ask how it can improve and then read feedbacks and posts and adjust... it is a preference thing...

For example, I liked the Ultra Tour indoors, but I felt I needed more pop on serves... so I went a good multi route, tried three tension adjustments, still wasn't right, play tested, then used a hybrid to adjust the feel (deaden a bit), and bingo ...my feel is now locked in with great playing results...

For me - MY PREFERENCES after all this - soft mains for power and stiffer crosses for control... my main point - this racket is really string sensitive and will respond...

i strung my lm prestige mid at 65 and i swear i thought i was gonna crack the frame. It felt soo bad playing with it so i cut the strings out. Now i just string all my sticks at 60 with poly and 62 with gut

I don't understand why these new Prestiges need to be strung so much tighter than than the old ones. Yeah the PC600 has a recommended range of 48-58, but I still found anything above 54 much too tight and here we are at 58+ on the new prestiges.
Why is this?

Well, I play with a soft multi(NXT16) and I string at 52.5. And when I get a chance to change to natural gut, I'll even go down to 51lbs.

And even the recommended tension range is higher in the new frames(48-58 vs. 52-62). I guess it has something to do with the new Prestiges being more powerful than the old ones, but I'm not sure why they don't feel boardy.
