Has anybody played with the Fischer M-speed 98 racket? What do you like and dislike about it. Would you recommend it for me? I am a baseliner who hits sort of heavy topspin. I right now play the Volkl Tour 9 V-engine 16X19 which is a little to light and a little to powerful. Thanks!!!

I've just switched to it. Great all rounds racquet. IMO, you would certainly get more power than with the Volkl, but at the same time it offers a lot of pop for something classed as a players racquet.

I've never hit with the Volkl so I can't compare, but I did recently buy a couple of M Speed 98's. I think the spin potential is really good. It feels very flexible on ground strokes. I found the head to be too light for me so I've added some lead tape. After I added the weight to my liking, I find that it has the power I need. It is still rather low powered compared to many racquets including my previous fischer and prostaff classic 6.1's. The sweet spot is rather small, but when you do hit it, it is a great hit. Good on volleys and serves for me as well. I think this is a really different racquet worth trying out. It doesn't feel cumbersome even with the lead tape. Great control as well.

Recently demoed the new M speed 98. I had a very pleasant experience. For me alsmost perfect power, consistantly deep penetrating shots, 2 handed bh and semewestern fh. Great feel IMO. Overall liked it better than the volkl tour 10 MP Gen 1. Not sure I am going to switch from my current rkt The Head FP Tour however. I just like the way this latter rkt swings through the air especially on forehands.
