Pickup Tennis in Capitola/Santa Cruz?

Hey All,
I've recently relocated to Santa Cruz county and after taking a break (formerly a 4.0), am looking to get back into hitting some fuzzy balls. I'm interested if anyone knew a place/group where people can jump in to hit or play some pick up sets in Santa Cruz county. I've passed Jade Park a few times, but haven't really seen too much action out there. Are there other public courts that players like to frequent?

I saw on meetup that there is a group that plays at Soquel High on Saturdays, so I'm planning to check that out sometime. Not really looking to join a club, but if you had one that you would recommend, I'm all ears.

K, Thanks!!

Not sure, but I did meet some people at Central Park in Salinas that did pick up matches. People generally showed up around 3:30 pm and later. Level varied from 3.0 to low level 4.5. It might be worth checking out.

Also if you are interested, there is a fairly active badminton club at the Monterey Sports Club. I had a lot of fun playing there when I lived out on that side.

Also, as an update to anyone in the same predicament, I found a Tennis Group (Santa Cruz Tennis Club) that meets at Soquel High School on Saturday mornings (9am) on six reserved courts. They have a a meetup page as well. The level is around 3.0 to 4.0, mostly older players. Everyone I met was very friendly. Sadly, I went today, and it looks like the courts are being resurfaced. Not sure if they relocated or are on hiatus until completion.

First time was free. $5 per visit afterwards.
