Racquet Painting Question

I have an old POG that I'm willing do some work on as a project. I want to see how close I can get it to the NXG graphite.

I was wondering if someone can give me a basic outline on how to strip the paint. I did a couple searches already but want to get some more info.

After the primer do you have to smooth that out? How many grit sand paper did you have to use.

How many coats of paint? After coating the racquet with my desired color should I smooth that out with a super fine sand paper?

And for those who have tried this did you use clear coat?
