Thanks to all who have helped me earlier!

This is my new serve (only got around to record one, cuz I had like 1 minute left of the time I booked for the court).

New Serve: http://www.vimeo.com/2698182

(And to LeeD, I looked a little lackadaisical in this vid because I can't consistently amp it up to the max speed and get the ball in, so this is a better representation of what I can hit like almost 90-95% of the time)

Although it doesn't seem as fast as the ones in the old videos, I certainly feel as though I can amp it up if I wanted to, whereas in the old vids, even if I tried to amp it up, it probably wouldn't be much faster.

Things I worked on:
Rocking back less on the toss
Lower elbow
Trying to add better shoulder rotation

Things I know I need to work on:
Tucking in the tossing arm during the swing (I don't know why but I always forget to do this)
Better shoulder rotation
Better timing with the leg drive

If anyone has anything else that they spotted, please let me know. My lifetime goal was to hit like 120 mph, but looking at my videos, my serves don't even look like they are 80-90.:(

Thank you all in advance!
PS:My new service motion looks cooler compared to my old serve too:), thank you all!

Great serve! And it doesn't matter if the serve is 100mph or not, if you can place it like you did in the vid consistently then your fine. And yeah the new motion does look alot better. I would focus on placing that serve of yours so you can hit the down the T pretty consistently, that will do alot of damage. I would love to play you sometime, we seem pretty close level wise and have completley different styles of play. A baseliner with a big serve+forehand vs a S&Ver with big spin serves+pretty good hands at net:) Of course, i have no idea where you live in terms to Colorado lol. That's the good part about the 3.5-4.0 levels though is that there's alot of people at that level and its usually pretty easy to find someone to play. At 4.5 and above there's no body to play with

Anyway, keep it up! Your serve has come along way, and it can still go further! Your on the right track bud, I know that for sure:)

I've already said I like your serve.
Nice loosewrist, plenty of snap.
You compacted your setup, which should lead to more consistency.
Looks like Kraijeck's motion.
Consider.... tighten up, don't be quite so loose in your body and legs. Maybe as you grow two years, your muscles will naturally tighten up, but right now, it's too relaxed and floppy.
NO, don't tighten up so your're tense. Loose is good, but you still hit too relaxed.
And of course, your hitting partner is disinterested and a couple levels lower than you.

Thanks everyone, and as for the wrist snap, I don't really notice that during my flatter serves, I only purposefully try to snap my wrist a lot on my second serves. I'll be playing tmrw, and I'll try to notice whether I'm doing that.

And Ballinbob, I would love to play against you (although I'll get bagelled over and over again) but I live in Canada >_>.

Thanks for catching that! My legs especially seems too loose, I'll try to correct that.

I was born in Canada and have relatives up in Quebec and Ontario. If I go up there anytime soon I'll tell you haha:) And no way i'd bagelle you lol, I honestly think we're pretty close. Once this stupid vid uploads, you'll see how fast my serves are. Pretty close to the one in this vid I think.

Keep at it though, just look how far you've gotten with your serve and forehand. Your improving really fast and that's great, your doing everything right in terms of practice so your good:) And you deserve some more comments than this.... I was complaining from 12 responses in an hour lol.

People give the guy some advice! He's been working hard, help him out! I would, but I don't think i'm really qualified too haha

Your motion doesn't seem to flow very well once you hit the trophy position. Maybe it's just me, but I think it may be taking away from your kinetic energy.

dude, I just watch your forehand video, the biggest mistake in it is that, your SHOULDER OPEN UP way too early

and about your serve, your rocking back of weight still look a bit too much, I would cut it down more still if i were u. Can add more wrist and shoulder rotation to your shot.

And 1 more thing, but it's up to personal preference, lowering your toss will definitely improve your timing more. Because with a higher toss, you need to wait a bit ( how long depends on how high your toss ) before you can swing up to the ball, and if you swing too early or too late or mistime, your serve can go awry.

Thanks for helping with my forehand and serve, I'll keep those tips in mind.

It seems to me that your toss is too high, making you hold the trophy position too long. It makes it less fluid. Nice serve though.

For some reason, when I'm on the court, my ball toss doesn't seem that high, but in the video, even I think it's a bit too high >_>.

Sure some know it all coach says to hit your serve at the top of your toss.
He don't play tennis!
You toss as high as you need to get your timing.
Some toss really high, and wait for the ball.
Lots of really fast servers have low toss.
Lots of really fast servers have high toss.
If it works well for you now, and the style is within reason compared to the pros, you are fine.
Your serve looks just fine compared to Kraijecks and Henmans. Just hit 40,000 more and it will BE as fast as you'll ever need AND have direction and depth.
