He is the third fittest athlete in the World only behind basketball star LeBron James and football star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Rafael Nadal was named the 23rd fittest athlete. Strength, speed, agility, flexibility and power were taken into account in the making of the list, which was topped by Real Madrid’s football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

I am a Federer fan. Why use an old picture of Federer? Are you ashamed of Federer ‘s body now because he still changes his shirt in more recent pictures. That picture is what 8 year’s ago. Also is this site even creditable for a tennis “news”?

Federer has always been a model athlete and anyone, who wants to play tennis or is generally concerned about his body looking in shape, is advised to take note about how he looks.

This list was ludicrious. Basically some lazy writer(s) picking out the names of some of the most popular athletes in individual sports. Federer is not even close to being the overall fittest tennis player today, let alone athlete. They are relying on the ignorance of the general sporting public for this nonsense list to go over

Conor McGregor was named the 9th fittest athlete in the world on this list. That''s a complete joke. He's a MMA fighter known for having terrible cardio, who just gassed out against a 40 year old retired boxer in Floyd Mayweather. In MMA, he was gassing out in his last two fights against Nate Diaz. McGregor is not even one of the fittest athletes in his own sport, but they stick him at no.9 because he's the biggest name in his sport. He's got no place on a list like this. It's a popularity contest (even though Ronaldo is not a bad choice for the top spot. He's popular and genuinely super-fit)

Floyd Mayweather's fitness is incredible. He literally looked like he could box for 10 more rounds against Conor McGregor.
For bigger boxers, Anthony Joshua is a beast.

True, if Floyd Mayweather wasn't officially retired again after the McGregor fight, he would probably deserve to be in a top 5 of a list like this (if the list was being serious). HIs fitness has always been insane. Gennady Golovkin was at no.11. In no sane universe should a cardio boxing beast like GGG be rated less fit than Conor McGregor. But GGG isn't as popular, so the Irishman clinches a top 10 spot.

Yes, thank you very much. I expecting this situation, because there are many sports events where many regular athletes should be superfit - bicycle, cross-country skis, ironman, etc...

I would personally start that list with every Olympic decathlete followed by every Olympic heptathlete then go from there.

Weird list. Federer is a different kind of fit compared to someone like Lebron and Cristiano. Rafa is definitely more similar to them than Federer is. Federer is fit in terms of maintaining and managing his body for nearly 15+ years of being at the top of the game, whereas as Nadal is more of the 'insane physical specimen' type fit, as are Ronaldo and Lebron

Agree with you fully - a guy who plays every single grand slam for 17 years (not a typo, yes 17) at an extremely high level has poor fitness. I’ll concede that.

Unfortunately by comparison this means that the you know who player - who has gone 8 seasons without playing all four slams, and in the years he is fully fit for four slams is weak (only reached four semis ONCE, never a factor indoor season) - well this guy isn’t just a mug by comparison. Maybe super mug or some other ultra mug term needs to be invented to describe this level of mugness by comparison

Another vamos brigrade fail logic.

Another vamos fan obsessed with federer. Obsess over your own boy. Constant comparison will lead to general unhappiness in life and in tennis comparing someone to federer is going to make them generally look crap. I like Djokovic for who he is and what he has accomplished. Don’t need to try to compare everything he has done with federer to appreciate what a exceptional player Djokovic is.

Another Come on Brigade member obsessed with Nadal fans. Why don't you call them "Nadal fans" instead of "*************"? Are Nadal fans the enemy of a war or something like that? I don't understand why so many fanatics use the expression "Come on Brigade" as if Nadal fans are the enemy to beat in the World War III.

Anyone gif that fall-away BH dtl by Fed against Querrey?

The thing is, even if he's yet to match some of the late career stats of 30-something Rosewall, back when tennis was biodegradable... did he ever deliver whirling reverse roundhouses from the baseline no-fly zone? Maybe not at 22, of course... but at 36?

Vamos brigrade refers to nadal trolls, haters, obsessivea not normal nadal fans in general. Fed, Djokovic camps etc all have as many equivalent trolls, hater obsessed fans too

The first paragraph of the article is all you need to read to work out how clueless the writer is.

"...In July he was named the fourth most fashionable athlete in the World behind of third Serena Williams, now he is the third fittest athlete in the World ahead of only basket star LeBron James and football star Cristiano Ronaldo."

Behind... not ahead.

Also: Basketball star... no basket star.

Total muppet.

I can't believe any claim like this where boxers or top level MMA fighters are not on the list. They are clearly the fittest athletes. Tennis players would be up there though with some of the gruelling matches they go through during a season.

How on earth is Rafa at 23? Tennis is the most physically demanding sport! I understand if he was at 6 or 7, but 23 is ridiculous. A fit Novak would be in top 4, and Murray in top 8.

************** is FN, end of thread. Nothing but clickbait and poorly written articles.

I know , instead of taking the losses with dignity fanboys where mad and basched Fed himself when he said that he was fit and played some of his best tennis two years ago

Here we go again

Two years ago, Fed was making quite a comeback. Not his best-ever tennis, but quite well enough to give Novak a decent run for his money.

I'm not criticizing you. I'm just stating what happened.

Playing against mugs doesn't not mean being fit, but just that good to win, then the level in finals show real age and fitness
