Signum Pro Tornado 1.29: bad for the arm?

I'm demoing the Ezone 98 and Blade 98 and they're strung with Signum Pro Tornado 1.29. After a week of playing with the rackets, I now have pain in my shoulder, something I've had before. I normally use Wilson Sensation 16. Can the Signum string be the cause of my shoulder pain?

five grams difference in the hoop weight could be the cause of the shoulder pain.

until all things are the same, it's impossible to know.

With that in mind, the Signum, esp in a 1.29 mm, is likely waaay firmer and may be too tight.

I over-tensioned my first test set of SPPP 1.23 in a 100in²/16x19, and I rarely go too firm with a new string, but I did in this case.

That may be what you are experiencing. Or maybe not. It's just a theory.

I hated tornado. It was stiff, inelastic, and lost huge amounts of tension..... While still being strung. I was using the thinnest version of it though. I can only imagine how stiff the 1.29mm would be.

The people that seemed to like it were relatively flat hitters that liked the added spin it gave them.

I tested a length of tornado on my stringer. It dropped from 55# to 45# in less than 30 seconds .

Years ago an Irish pro player James McGee told how he tried to save stringing costs by switching to thicker gauge string. He ended up with a shoulder injury. So yes, thicker/ stiffer string can harm your arm.
