^^ Look into technical running shirts. Some are really good at wicking away moisture and drying fast. (Most are overpriced garbage). I found a good one and bought 25 of them :)
Yeah I had some different materials. Price was a big factor at the time because I was a grad student. Chafing was an issue with a lot of the in budget ones.

Nowadays I'm content with Nike cotton tank tops or higher quality dryfit shirts

Price is insane on these now. $100 or more a shirt I think. I grabbed mine over 10 years ago on closeout. About $15 a shirt. Ahh, the "good old days......."

Speaking of sweat, I have found the ultimate shorts when it comes to staying dry in hot and humid weather. PM me if you want to know what they are bc I don't think TW sellls them yet.

I started doing ashtanga yoga and in ashtanga yoga, guys often go shirtless and put a towel on their yoga mats. I use a special towel from Manduka that absorbs sweat really well and still maintains grip. I also bring another towel to wipe sweat and for then instructor to use when giving adjustments for me.

While many people who have been doing ashtanga for awhile are very lean and fit, it is more about your individual practice and less of a fashion show than other yoga classes because each person goes at their own pace.

I just played shirtless. Courts were open when I started. I am ghostly pale. A single mother showed up with her two young children. I felt compelled to put it back on.

If I wasn't out of shape I would. Lived most my childhood and early adulthood here in AZ in nothing but swimming shorts and flip flops.

Let’s eliminate the classist, elitist snobbery ever present in our beloved game of tennis and all go shirtless!! Join the campaign for shirtless tennis! Women can join too with sports bras

As another person mentioned the shirt is needed to absorb sweat, otherwise sweat will end up running down your back into your buttcrack and soaking your underwear, which is much more uncomfortable than wearing a sweaty shirt.

That is a problem only if you wear underwear
