I am just wondering what tension should i strIng my pacific classic natural gut 16g. I usually use BHBR 16G 52LB on blx six one 95 16x18.This is my second time using NG, I am always a full poly user. The last time i tried mamba premium natural 16g at 56 and think that it was too mushy so i cutted it out after 10min. I am thinking about increasing the tension to 60? maybe 65?

65 is probably too much. The gut will give you more power than poly for sure, so I would suggest maybe 62lbs as a starting point and dropping a few pounds after that if you liked the feel.

I would agree with not going too high. On the back of the packet, Pacific has a list of tension recommendations. Classic is Regular to Medium, Tough is Regular to High, and Prime is Regular to X-tra High. Unfortunately, they don't specify what is considered Medium or High. I wouldn't go past low 60's.

Should i use two piece? I usally do one piece around the world because i heard that it do not lose tension as fast as two piece, but natural gut dont lose tension right? So i am thinking about two piece for the convenience.

I really don't think it matters. In my experience, it seems to me that natural gut holds its tension as long as the weather is dry. When it gets damp or humid, it will certainly lose tension no matter how you string it.

62 probably is a good place to start.

Two-piece is going to be easier to handle and prevent less opportunities to kink the string. Gut takes some extra care when stringing, so I prefer two piece.

For what it's worth I went from BHBR16 @58 on tf320 to vs16 @62. I too, play poly usually but due to wrist problem I wanted to restart playing so I switched to nat. gut. Next time I will be looking at 64-65lbs.
Hope this might help
