I watched Youzhny yesterday - never seen him playing so good. He just destroyed Meyer 6-1, 6-0, 6-2 and was clearly in the zone ( smtng like 38 winners in a very quick 3-setter). Apart from the 5 min spell in the 3rd when he relaxed and dropped two games in a row, Youzhny was very impressive.

He was like that when he won the epic DC match v. Mathieu. Another unpredictable Russian.

I've seen both matches - you can not even compare, believe me - this time Youzhny was SERIOUSLY good. I mean seriously in the zone. Huge clean hitting from both ends and very mature thinking. Meyer won their previous match and you should have seen his face when they shook hands in the end. He just could not believe it. Apart from two games in the 3rd, which Youzhny just tanked with 8 unforced errors in a row, he was just flawless - 2 unforced errors in the whole 2nd set and 4 or 5 in the 1st. Let's see if he comes off the boil in the 2nd round.
