As much as I like older journeymen athletes breaking through when opportunity knocks this transitional era has gone beyond anything I could imagine.

With a diminished talent pool among other sports and a diminishing athletic drive from millennials everywhere I simply see no good coming the next couple decades. Once the Big 3 are too old or too tired the chasm that is the WTA will become the ATP.

Meaning, no great consistency from any group. Possibly some short runs by a player and a fabricated rivalry but it'll be extremely dark and due to poor ratings the game will be bastardized beyond recognition in desperation.

There is no good tennis without Rafa, Nole and Fed, that's for sure. Once these guys are gone from ATP it will indeed look like WTA. Luckily there are 45 h2h Nole-Fed, 52 h2h Nole-Rafa and 38 h2h Rafa-Fed matches. Those are 135 matches to watch in years to come. If you watch one match in three days you have a year covered. Rinse and repeat to eternity. : )
