Has anyone used Unique Tourna Premium Poly 18g?

I was looking into buying some Big Hitter 17 when I came across the Premium Poly 18g. I believe it's a simple extruded poly. Also, it doesn't have metalized Fibers, so my guess is that it doesn't have the tension holding abilities of Big Hitter, Big Banger ALU or other newer poly's. At the same time it's stiffer, cheaper ($40/660ft), and thinner, than Big Hitter/BB ALU .

My intension would be to hybrid the Premium Poly 18g Mains with Gosen OG Micro Crosses. My hope is that the softer Gosen string, combined with the poly, would give the string bed a stiffness that is comparable to Big Banger ALU (My favorite String) while being cheaper (~$3/frame for a hybrid set, ~$6/frame for Big Hitter 17) with greater spin potential from an 18guage. I'm not terribly worried about durability since I'm not a string breaker and I can restring every 10 to 20 hours. I know in the grand scheme of things, the price of Big Hitter 17 and The Hybrid would be about the same price since big hitter will retain tension longer

What is your opinion?

I don't know that you would get the same feel at all with that approach. I'd focus instead on one of the ALU clones out there. The Unique Big Hitter is only 6.95...

Tourna Premium Poly plays just like Kirschbaum SSH. Personally i played with this string, 18g and all, but i moved to Ashaway Monogut 16l because its the softest poly ive ever used.

But off of my experience, TPP is not a good string for mains. This one does lose tension fast and when i played with it i played full TPP and it broke in about 3-4 hrs.
