Had a hit with a friend's RDX 500 ..love the feel, spin, control and the amount of power. Was wondering what's the current available yonex closest to the RDX500, would it be the VCORE tour G 310? Can anyone compare those 2 rackets?

Thanks in advance

Hi - the RDX500 is wonderful isn't it. I have one and have myself been on a quest to discover the closest YY to it. The honest answer is that different ones have some but not all of the attributes. I'd say the Tour G is the softest, most plush, but doesn't generate as much spin due to the 16/20 pattern. The Ai98 is has the spin but is firmer and has more plow through due to the higher RA and swing weight. Others in the range tend to be too stiff/modern feeling. So it's between the G and the Ai98.

I have tried the Ai 98 and it's nowhere close to the RDX, which is a unique gem of a frame imho. I still have to check the VCore Tour G and I can't wait to put my hands on the new DR, which is very promising from what I've heard.

RDX has more spin. About similar power id say. G has more control though. Really nothing feels like the RDX. They don't make em like that anymore...
