I saw verdasco play schuetller and it looks like verdasco is using the Dunlop biomimetic 300. Is it the real one or just a paintjob? Thanks.

Actually that oval shape resembles a true dunlop racquet. I wouldn't be surprised if he's using some sort of Pro Stock Dunlop.

I want to say it's a paintjob though because when you see it on TV the black areas reflect like glossy paint whereas the retail version has a matte finish that wouldn't reflect light like that.

Also looks like he has the same lead setup going on.

Verdasco's Bio 300 looks better than the retail version IMO. The gloss looks awesome

Yea. Gloss does look pretty good. Then again, so do the matte and chrome finishes. Just a good looking series of rackets in general imo.

anyone notice how during his match with janko everytime he missed a shot he'd look @ the racket like it was the racket's fault...

A lot of pros have their frames clear coated. I.e. Gonzalez's Pure Storms. No clear coated or glossy frames were available to the public but his had it.

True. I remember that all the pros using the K95 paintjob had matte finish and the retail ones were glossy.

Dunlop knows better than anyone that you cannot just PJ a racquet (see Safin fiasco in early 2000s) and get away with it...That's a Dunlop frame.

Is there an old thread someone can provide a link to? I tried searching and couldn't find any information about the Safin racket fiasco. Alternatively, just some information about this Safin racket fiasco would help.

When Dunlop signed Safin in I think '02, they just pj'ed his prestige with caps and sold it as a a new Dunlop model. It was so obvious that he was still using his PT it wasn't even funny. That's a summary, but here's a more detailed story: http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=312421 .

It is actually his technifibre racket. Dunlop pays technifbre so Verdasco can use a paintjob

How do you know this? I was speaking to 1 of the stringers at the ausopen yesterday and he said that he was actually a using Dunlop frame.

He doesn't know. He's just making up stories.
A lot of posters think he still uses a tecnifibre racquet because last year he played almost the full season with a blacked out tecnifibre.

Dudes, the mold that Verdasco used with TF was the same mold Berdych, Blake and Haas used with Dunlop. Verdasco is most likely using the same mold as his old one with a custom layup

Pioneer is probably right on.

The 300 Tour uses the same mold as his old TF frame anyway (Major Bullit Elite, then the pre-VO2 97 si T-Fights). Just like one of the Tyger frames and the Dunlop old M-Fil 200 Plus and the subsequent 300 tours.

This mold is the ***** of racquet molds. It's been around!

I heard that Brad Gilbert noted that fact during the match, and the fact that Verdasco hit some great shots with the same racket. It was like he blamed his racket for a missed shot and gave himself all the credit for a great shot. Go figure.
