Visiting Austin

I'll be staying in downtown Austin next week (11/17-11/20ish). A friend and I may want to hit for a couple hours. We don't mind paying for good court time. Is there any public indoor courts? Or, great outdoor courts close by?

There aren't really any indoor courts close to downtown, however Caswell Tennis Center has nice outdoor courts and very good lights if you don't mind playing in the cold, call them at 512-478-6268.

There aren't any courts downtown. I think the closest ones are near the UT campus. The Caswell Tennis Center has courts outside on 24th street. There are courts on campus, but sometimes it's locked or the tennis team is practicing. If you go south of downtown, then Austin High has public courts. If you are looking for people to play, try the tennis meetup group. They usually meet in south austin and they're well run and friendly and social group.
