I know this topic has been discuss ad nauseum but I thought I should throw in a little twist.
Nadal's victory at the Monte Carlo Masters was decisive, and well deserved. I can't help to think this will somehow penetrate Federer's greater gameplan and mental stamina. Unlike any other Tennis player, Federer comes back and destroys opponents that at one point seemed to own him.
I can give the Agassi, and Hewitt examples but they've discussed before. However, I'm talking about the rivalries such as Keifer and Nalbandian. Those players used to defeat Federer in the Juniors and the early on in his pro career. Now, they're easy opponents on the road to tournament victories.
I think Federer will analyze his gameplan, and go back to playing his game. I think he might even lose the next few matches to Nadal. But somewhere down the road, I think Federer will win a five set match, and then dominate Nadal like his other opponents.
Perhaps he would take a page out of Blake's book and take the high topsin forehand of Nadal's earlier and punish Nadal's short return.
