What actually happens in Women's Tennis in Germany?

Break To Win

Semi-Pro

I haven't actively followed the WTA since late 2018.

And I only found out today that Tamara Korpatsch won a WTA 250 in Romania.

I remember watching Korpatsch before 2018, and I never imagined she could win a tournament at this level. I'm happy for her.

But I confess that I was disgusted by DTB's treatment of her. She did not have any support from the entity, and had difficult conditions to work, and was clearly sabotaged by Barbara Rittner, who I always suspected of her competence and character. Okay, so Tamara revealed that she was injured after winning in Romania. And she never had any chance on the German team at BJKC.

Although, this is nothing new. Kerber was treated with contempt until she reached the semi-finals of the 2011 US Open, and ended up being the second best German tennis player in history.

I thought that after Kerber, DTB would be more competent in managing their talents, when in fact, they neglect them.

For those who want to understand, just read the article linked above.

Ah, why I'm so interested in tennis in Germany , is because Becker and Graf, were my first heroes in the sport.
