Who Would have won a hypothetical Djokovic/Thiem Madrid Final

If Nadal had pulled a Nishikori and dropped out, could Djokovic have beaten Thiem in the final yesterday?


Argument for Djokovic:
Owned Thiem on clay during the FO last year and has never lost to him in four meetings.

Argument for Thiem:
Clearly in better form this year than Djokovic, especially on clay. Looked better against Rafa than Djokovic did.
