Who's the highest rated male player Serena could beat?

Donald Young would be overpowered by Serena. Her serve and groundspeed speeds average are higher than his, and she is also a much smarter and more overall talented player.

Donald moves about ten times faster than her, and his groundstrokes are probably around the same speed as Serena's but have MUCH more topspin (making it a much heavier ball). He would bagel and breadstick her.

Exactly. Add to that how frustrated Serena would become when shots that would be winners on the WTP tour came back over the net with interest.

This thread is almost as hilarious as threads proposing that current 5.0 players using modern racquets would be competitive or beat former pros using conventional wooden racquets.

Just ridiculous.

I agree with this. Come on, DY is the 48th ranked player in the world and hasn't been below 165 or so in years. Love him or hate him, he'd destroy Serena.

This is to Maximagg.

I'm going to give you a reality check here, partly because I like you for what your goals are, and partly because you drive me nuts.

Two years ago, I was here and had a big head on my shoulders. I had spent SO SO many years playing tennis one way, and it was annoying to every opponent. Tap, tap, Chase, tap, tap, Chase, lob, lather, rinse, repeat. I DID win quite a few matches I had no business winning all those years. First I said "any of us could get 2-3 games off of DY based off his mistakes alone", then I said I'd put my game online for the world to see, and I meant every word.

Let's talk about the former first. When you spent so many years doing the same thing and having something resembling success doing it, you get cocky, and it's easy to do. I spent years and years chasing, chasing, chasing balls down and getting them back with no strategy at all, so I automatically figured mistakes would come to anyone quick enough if you keep the rally going long enough.

Which leads me to my second point...

That day literally changed my life forever, and in the best way possible. I had lost a tough three setter in my tournament and figured I'd film the consolation round. What could go wrong?

Plenty...and anyone here that loves a laugh probably has that video now. Worst day of my life. Caught a guy who was far better than I was, and had actual strokes to go along with far better patience than most people I'd ever played. Double bagel and only 10 points in the match later, it was all over.

I've watched that torture probably 80 times. It was all out on video, and I had never seen myself on camera. No footwork at all, no strokes, no serve, awkward as hell, everything and so much more. I deserved every mocking I got.

Watching that, it showed that any of those wins I had all those years were not of my doing. All I was doing was taking advantage of most players natural lack of patience. There were no winners, no two and three shot sequences to set up a winner up the line. It was "TAP, TAP, TAP, **** THIS...WHAM! OUT!"

This time, I got caught, and bad. It reminded me of the DY crap I said. There are no mistakes when you hit a ball flat, slow, and fat in the middle of his racket.

So I have worked on developing a real game. When I'm ready, I'll video it. I'm happier with what I do now, even if I lose a ton.

Now that brings me to you. You brag and brag on a message board to 80 percent idiots and lazy whiners. Yeah, you probably are intelligent, but you won't convince me on test scores. I've been around intelligent all my life. My whole family is filled with road and bridge contractors, engineers, and architects. They built things and changed worlds.

Thing is only half of those people mentioned went to college, and the ones that did sure as hell didn't get their brains in a classroom.

Finally, I'm going to say this. I used to be here incessantly, almost 24/7. Now I'm here for 1000s and slams, and sometimes I don't finish those. I'm trying to be gone for good also. If you really want to do that startup, get OUT OF HERE yesterday and get to work. Sleep is your enemy and so is this place. Quit trying to convince message board people, and the loser whiners that permeate this place, that you are this intelligent guy with an awesome game. Without proof, it's conjecture.

But I don't want proof here. I want to see your damned photo on the front cover of Success magazine, or Forbes, or any other business mag. I want your software to change the world. I want you to do something big and great.

I actually like you, as I said, so do not take this as an insult.

GET THE **** OUT OF HERE!!!! Go kick *** in this world. Let the Fed and Nadal losers stalk their heroes and hopefully get arrested one day! If you are that smart, you won't have time for this place and you'll be a billionaire.

Thanks jake! I've been actually trying to limit my time spent on Talk Tennis recently since I've been studying for my Physics class and I do agree with everything you said. Arguing with a bunch of the ***** on this forum is a waste of time and all the reasonable fans lose intelligence points talking with them. :)

William sisters made a formal request to ATP and ATP sent Karsten Braasch
who was ~#300 at the time. That German player who smoked cigarrette
during a changeover. He beat sisters 6-2, 6-1 and he said he played like
a #600.

It's generally regarded top female players would about ATP #2000.
Top WTA players often look for hitting partner at local Div 1 male players
who would start ATP at around #2000 if they go pro.

I'm assuming you meant "highest rated JUNIOR male player"! Probably no one ranked Nationally in the 18 and unders. Maybe, MAYBE some kid in the 16 and unders.

Didn't Maria Sharapova beat 1 or 2 of the top ranked junior boys in Australia this year? I think one of them was ranked about 800...

That's hardly a fair contest given that her teenage male opponents minds would be more focused on imagining her naked than playing tennis.
