Is Yonex racquet usually have a longer lifecycle?

Wilson has introduced their K series, Babolat has a new Cortex, Dunlop has moved to Aerogel technology, and Prince has a new update for their O3, SpeedPort, and Head has got Microgel.

However Yonex still has the same technology as last year, and RDS001 has been around for a while. Although they have a new range of RDS002 and yet still used the same technology as RDS001.

Racquet companies are moving too slowly. There should be a new line to accompany each slam!
That is so true, it wonder if Wilson's new line will be out for Wimbledon.

I love the fact that technology advances fast. It makes the "older" racquets cheaper.

Hi Andrey,
I have already mentioned in these forums before, when yonex designed their RDS racquets, they got it right the first time. I play with both the RDS 001 and the K90 Tour. The only difference is I use the Yonex if I am playing after a long day's work and need something a little more forgiving. The so called technology used in the RDS001 is suited for that racquet and its design dimensions.....This however is no indication of a racquet's lifecycle. The wear on the frame will be contingent on the player, environment and if he has a McEnroe complex:wink: , his moodswings. Its a good thing Kyle Turley never plays tennis.
Hope this bolsters what you were trying to say.

Tom.

No doubt Yonex RDS001 mid especially is one of the best racquet that I ever try, and usually Yonex has a really fine precise quality mold, better than other brands. RDS001 mid suits me better than K90 as well

I am just waiting Yonex to release a new version of RDS001 because they have a glow yellow color. I know some people like it and others don't

Hopefully they will come with more subtle classic color.

They need to just bring the RDX-500 back. The RDS doesn't seem like an improvement over the RDX except maybe in the serving department. The RDX-500 Mid was the best overall racquet Yonex has come out with in the past several years.
