Yonex RDX500 to K90

Does anyone own a RDX500 as well as k90? I really want to know how they compare.

I play with a PS85 and it's my favorite racket but the power isn't enough sometimes when I really want to kick someones a**e so I demo'd and bought a RDX500 - I bought a N90 without demoing a few years ago and I hated it. I was pleasantly surprised by the power and feel of the RDX500 but I'm itching to switch back to Wilson and a k90 in particular.

Is the k90 a lot heavier? I don't find the PS85 heavy at all but I found the N90really difficult to manoeuvre. Essentially i want to find a Wilson bat that plays like PS85 but with a bit more power......am I dreaming?

K90 is a bit heavier, RDX is a much easier racquet to play with while K90 has more pop. Personally I like the RDX due to its larger sweetspot. It plays more like a 95

1. why do you want to switch from the rdx 500?
2. the rds and the new yonex mid would probably be close in stiffness to the ps 85 with more power. If you want good feel also, the AG 200 would fit perfectly.

I feel like I'm cheating on Wilson by switching! I still prefer the ps85 except for the power side so I thought that perhaps another Wilson stick would give me both (overall feel and power).

The AG 200 sounds interesting......

Unfortunately the K90 does not feel or swing like the old PS85. It is heavier overall and less headlight than the PS85. If I were you I would try demoeing the Yonex RDS001 mid or RDIS 100.

The RDX 500 Mid--if the Mid is the one you're referring to--and K90 don't have much in common beyond the head size. The RDX is significantly lighter and more flexible than the K90. Both are great sticks but have different characteristics. Yonex's mids and Wilson's mids feel quite unalike.

If you want power go with K90.I just demo one and the ammount of POP is amazing(I strung it at 25/24 kg).The ball just explodes of the stringbed but totally predictible. It is my racket from now on.
I played with many rackets including PS85,MG prestiges,RDS001mid but the K90 is the best of all in terms of feeling, power and a nice balance;feeling is the same of PS85 for me.

I played with both frames. Three years with RDX-500 Mid, with 8 grs at 3 and 9 for adding power and improve serve. Two last years with K90, stock. Both frames are excelent! I would recommend you to demo de K90. For me it was instant love... and I only had to adjust my serve. However, be carefull with the K90 if you are not in good physical shape, it is a stiff frame and not impacting the ball correctly will cause you wrist, elbow and shoulder injuries.

I am a Yonex guy - I play with RDS001 mid and SRD Tour 90.
I enjoy playing the RDX500 mid but found the sw to be too light for my game.

I can say the K90 is the bomb. It is a little heavier but with patience and playing relax (not worrying about big swings to kill the ball on each strike). - the K90 does not disappoint. Once you get the hang of it, you can pretty much any type of shot with the k90. To me, k90 is a tad better than the k88. I've tried not to like the K90 (loyalty issue with Yonex). But I would time to time still would play with the k90 ( I always have great games with this puppy).

So my vote between the RDX500 and K90 - I choose k90. I liked it so much that I bought another k90 to keep as a spare.
