deep down you were a little nervous
I would be pissed if I lose in a close match I rather lose in 3 bagel sets
yikesIsner vs Anderson Wimbledon 2018 SF. That is all.
yikes
For me it was Nishikori-Carreno Busta
It was torture especially the super tb it was similar to Federer vs Millman I think I was more nervous than Nishikori
Wow, I'm through to the quarterfinals and I didn't waste my save pick! I'm such a smart guy.R16:BU: Medvedev
BU:R16: Thiem
How smart do you feel denying the power of The Slaminal vs a neophyte slam R16er??,Wow, I'm through to the quarterfinals and I didn't waste my save pick! I'm such a smart guy.
I had to endure that one as well last year, not particularly fun
QF: Federer
BU: Winner of Medvedev vs. Wawrinka
8/10.How smart do you feel denying the power of The Slaminal vs a neophyte slam R16er??,
Great match!8/10.
QF: Zverev
Lol
Did we just survive 7 match points?
That's impressive. Seemingly impossible! Good luck.We did indeed. Familiar territory for me lol, but anyway - onwards!
Eyeing up a 5th consecutive AO Final
QF: Zeverev
BU: Nadal
Ouch!Change to QF: Wawrinka
Cancel all these! I will wait for the 4th QF to finish!Conditional picks
SF: Nadal
BU: Djokovic
What happens if Djokovic is the only pick that I have left and Fed withdraws?
Do I get points for my SF pick?
Then you'll have to pick Zverev. Also what happens if Federer retires before we make a pick? i.e. l have both Zverev and Djokovic left.
@Boozyuzi
But that doesn't seem fair. You can change your pick until a match starts. If a player retires hours before it denies you that opportunity. Is there a precedent? Then you'll have to pick Zverev.
It doesn't help that the scheduling is so odd - different semis on different days. The problem with this is how do we know when a player pulls out ? Highlighted in this tournament for some as it's being held during the night.. we could have rumours flying about on here half an hour before an official announcement and players could jump on Djokovic to get a bye before official announcement.
The rule states - You cannot advance to the next round via a walkover since it is hard to know exactly when someone announced they were pulling out HOWEVER this rule does not apply once you reach the semifinals
My interpretation is that anyone left in can pick Djokovic (apart from me, I've used him) and if he ends up getting a bye then so be it. Even if you pick him after Fed retires even though that sounds bizarre
There was chat about this about 5 or 6 years ago and that's why back ups were introduced but an exception was made of semi finals.
Anyone got and info or advice to add, please do..
Pick Joe Kovic now and enjoy! Also what happens if Federer retires before we make a pick? i.e. l have both Zverev and Djokovic left.
@Boozyuzi
Who is to say 80% 135mph bombs don’t destroy Joe Kovic in the final???It doesn't help that the scheduling is so odd - different semis on different days.
Ok, I have to decide whether to go for some points, or attempt to defend the win last year.
Not the worst problem to have
