Did you watch? The kid was loose as a goose and played big points like a grizzled veteran. Shapo needs to watch that first set for pointers on how a lefty can beat Joe Kovic on grass.

I only joined that match at the very end of the 1st set so other than breif highlights, no. However! I watched the entirety of the match from then on when it was like watching Muhammad Ali take on a 5 year old. Like it wasn't even close, at all. So i don't know what happened.

Before poly it was the rule.

My guess would be Steffi vs Novotna hit more slice in 3-set matches than any of the men today do in 5 sets.

I saw from the first ball. For some reason the occasion only consumed the teen after he had won that first set. IIRC he saved triple BP after getting a lead and then a couple more single BPs. He has potential.

Fully expected Berrettini to make the SF here (even if Zverev won instead of Felix), his game works really well on this surface.
