BLX90 or K90? Been using PS 6.0 95

I know there are a lot threads comparing the BLX90 and K90, but I have been using my PS 6.0 95 for awhile now and I am looking to get another stick.

Does anyone have any experience with both PS 6.0 95 and BLX90 or K90?

A lot of people mentioned the BLX90 plays similar to the PS85, but I didn't have the fortune to play with a PS85 and PS95 isn't similar to PS85 at all so I can't really relate. Is there anyone can let us know the difference between them?

Thanks heaps!! :)

are you looking for similarity in terms of feel or weight/balance?

i dont have experience w/ the blx90s, but i've used the 6.0 95s for a bit and played w/ the k90 a few times and the 6.0 swung much lighter and were way more manueverable than the k90. the k90 swings/plays a lot closer to the 85 than it is to the 95.

in terms of feel, the 6.0 95 is kinda unique in that it is classic crisp feel is there but is still forgiving. the k90 wasnt very forgiving. that low margin of error, high reward feel is there more like the 6.0 85. the feel of the ball off the stringbed is once again closer to the 6.0 85 than it is to the 95.

to be honest, i haven't played with a racket that was reminiscent of the 6.0 95. the blx95 feels like the PSC 6.1, and the k90 feels like the 6.0 85...but there hasnt been a frame that reminded me of the 6.0 95

Might wanna give Pure Storm Tour a try as well. People say it feels like a stick in between PS 90 - 95.

Hrmm I'm about to go the other way, using the blx 90 and going to try the 6.0 95.

You can tell there will be a huge difference from specs alone and reading the reviews of both it's quite evident they're not very similar.

Assuming you can generate the required racquet head speed for both here's how i think the 90 will have better control and plowthrough/stability and maybe feel that one I'm going to have to wait till i hit with my 6.0 95 and see, in most of the other areas the 6.0 95 should have an advantage, especially if you're playing the modern game. I always played flat and assumed it was just my game till i demoed a customised LM radical MP, now thats a relatively dense closed pattern and it was still much easier to generate spin while still having great control when flattening out the ball. The main reason i keep going back to the 90 is that I feel so confident on the serve, i was probably averageing about 200 km/h with the radical and i usually get about 190 with the 90 but i feel like im less likely to miss with the 90 so i go for the lines and this translates to easier points on serve.

The reasons I want to try the 95 is im hoping to get the confidence and performance of the 90 with the spin i gained from the radical.

Woo half a grand?!

I have no intention of changing. The PS95 is so much fun to hit with. I will still be using my PS95 but I just wanted to get an additional stick.

So I am interested to see the comparison, the reason I go for 90 is because:
1) better reward when hitting the sweet spot
2) Maybe able to benefit from the smaller frame when transition back to the 95 frame (not sure if it make sense...)
3) More control

Yes more controller but no forgiveness. I have two blx 6.1 90 and four ps 95 equivalent. I rather use the 95 because a tad more powe. Just don't mess with poly with them. I hated poly in my ps95.

I have played all three. The B and K90 are nothing like the 6.0 95. In fact, the b/k90 are nothing like the ps 85 either. Not sure what you want out of racquet and style of play. But why not try the blx95 in 16x18 string pattern?? Not to be rude, but I don't get why anyone would compare a 6.0 95 to a player's racquet in the 90 family..two completely different racquets in feel, swing, balance, etc, etc, etc. do you want to play a 90 or 95? if you want to play a 90 then try the K90 over the B90..a bit better feel. If you want to stick with a 95, then try the wilson 95's 6.1 with the 16X18 string pattern. Is weight an issue? the K88 is much better than any of the 90's.

I guess I am just looking for more feel in a racquet and I left the kps88 out because I totally forgot about it lol. I think I may give KPS88 a go.

K88s are going the way of the other pro staffs. Better hurry if you want to get one or two.

The PS 6.0 95 is a very unique racquet. There's been nothing like it since. It plays differently from the K90 and BLX90 and very differently from any 95 from the 6.1 family (PSC 6.1, HPS 6.1, n6.1 95, K6.1 95, etc.) All the racquets in the 6.1 family have a wide oval beam which makes them play and feel very different from the 6.0 family's box beam.

Since there has been no replacement for the PS 6.0 95 since it was discontinued a long time ago, some pros (e.g., Dogopolov, Mahut, Muller, etc.) used or are still using the PS 6.0 95 under various paintjobs (Tour 95, n95, K95, BLX95, etc.).

yes, should have pointed that out as te PS 95 is different even than its 6.1 versions...good call.

Not sure about Dogopolov and Muller, but I believe Mahut let go of the PS 95 6.0 after the NCode PJ. He was definetly using the 6.0 95 until the Ncode, but I think he went to either a 6.1 95 or some other thing in the KFactor PJ.

how many 6.0 95's do you have? what string are you currently using? The K88 is a powerful racquet. Its much heavierto swing than the 95, but its much more solid/stable feeling, unreal plow through and nice access to spin. I have been using multi's and have been trying a few different kinds as a tester. But I string a bit higher due to the power (60 #'s nstead of 55-57#'s).

So you bought one from that shop in Germany? Are you in the U.S.?

Someone in the other thread said it's Dolgolopov's stock. For some reason that German website got hold of it.

Shipping to the US should be 35 euros (listed on the site)

I'm in the Netherlands as well, so shipping wouldn't be too much. Too bad the wife would rip my balls off if i spent 150 euros on a new frame :(

Hmmm...interesting. That's looks to be a PS 6.0 95 with a K-Factor Tour 90 paintjob. Except that the listed spec of "18 mm" beam width is throwing me off since the PS 6.0 95 has a 20 mm beam width.

throat has flanges/flared. am I overlooking something?:???:

It could also possibly be an HPS 6.0 95 under the paint... only one way to know for certain would be to buy it :p

People that have bought it reported that it plays just like the PS 6.0 95, so I think it's safe to assume it's a PS 6.0 95 Original underneath the K90 paintjob and not a HPS 6.0 Tour 95. Besides, I've never heard of any pro that used the HPS 6.0 Tour 95.
