Cytomax

I got some cytomax after hearing about it on this message board, and I must say that I think it has helped me. It's been really hot and humid lately--awful tennis weather, but I've been making it through 3-set matches without the metabolism drops I used to have. I've been drinking the pre-workout stuff and then sipping the regular cytomax drink while I play. I used to eat things like crackers, peanut butter, etc, before I played, and this is easier on the stomach and it gave me more consistant energy longer. I'm a total skeptic when it comes to things like vitamins, but this stuff has really helped. Just played three sets, and I could play three more.

Anyone else a fan of this stuff? Any downsides or side-effects I should be aware of? Anything out there even better? I know a guy who drinks Ensure before he plays. Anyone tried that?

I don't know, I've tried Cytomax a few times now during play and it's made me feel rather sick... I mixed it up 1 scoop to 16 oz which is less than what they say... it makes me feel very "full" very quickly...can only take very small sips of it. To me it seems best as a pre-workout drink and then also very deep into a match when you're bonking, maybe after about 90 minutes or 2 hours... otherwise like I said it didn't sit well w/ me. I'll continue to try it and see how it turns out.

NoBadMojo: Thanks for the tip about this stuff. I was skeptical at first, but now I think it's for real.

Craig:
The pre-workout powder I have is kind of nasty--I might have to find a better flavor. It did make me a little queasy, but on the court it sat much better than my usual pre-game snacks, which make me sluggish for the first few games. I think the regular Cytomax drink has different ingredients than the pre-workout stuff and doesn't taste nearly as bad.

Z-Man glad I could help. I'm using the Cytomax regular Energy Drink - Tangy Orange flavour which has some other stuff in it. the first time i tred it, it did leave me with kind of a wierd feeling in my stomach, but i drank it before the workout. the directions say to drink it starting a few minutes into your session and then after, and i had no more quesy full feeling when following the directions. I think it helps alot for the reasons stated earlier..it does have a bit of a chalky taste to it.

Hi guys, I just tried it and think it helped me get through a tourney this past weekend when it was 95 degrees. On Sat I played 5 sets of tourney singles, then a dubs match, and then another first set of a dubs match (rained out after that). I'll be 50 in a few months and I was amazed how good (relative of course) I felt with the regular Cytomax. I drank some 15-30 minutes before and then during the match. I didn't feel the up and downs of energy flucuation I often do. Also did not cramp up which was is pretty amazing for me in that kind of heat. I'm usually very skeptical as well, I give it a thumbs up.
