Dunlop Aerogel 4D 200 (2Hundred)

I hit with this racquet the other day and loved it. My ground strokes felt incredibly solid and my forehand was dropping with in with a lot more spin and power than I normally get with my blx blade. Is there any wilson racquet similar to this that I could try? Or is there a way to lead up my blx to basically make it hit like this racquet?

why do you have to try a wilson similar to it? why not just get that racquet?
you can get them on the low now that they are discontinued.

or you could put like 15g in the handle of your blade to get the weight and balance closer to the 200

I completely agree...I just bought 2 of the AG 4d 300 last night...I think I have finally learned to look past the brand and just get what fits. I am not trying to imply in any way that Dunlop is an inferior brand...far from it. It just seems that more people direct their attention toward Babolat and Wilson (not that its a bad thing, the brands have earned their good name), and that Dunlop and some others aren't in the spotlight as much, which I like because the prices tend to be lower. As a reference, I also hit with Babolat Pure Drive and AeroPro and I think the Dunlop Aerogel wins over both of these....maybe a close race with Babolat Pure Drive GT, but I think they are still fighting it out.

yeah i guess yall are right. I think I should hit with it one more time but i really liked it. Its only $89 bucks so that would be a steal. I think I would somehow mess up the balance if I tried to put weight in my blx 98s. Is it hard to do that?

I haven't hit with a Wilson BLX yet so I can't answer that, but I do understand a loyalty to the brand. Since I was a kid I loved Wilson racquets so I see why you want to stick with it. Yeah I would say try hitting with the Dunlop a few more times and just see how it feels. I bought up a couple of those dunlops before they completely ran out, I just really couldn't deny how great it felt hitting with it. Also it is easy to try to force yourself to like a racquet when you spend more money on it(like me with the aeropro drive, and i cant stand that stick). Dunlop is a fantastic bang for your buck racquet...purely fantastic.

I own seven Dunlop 4D 200 Tours and one 4D 200 regular. Long time Wilson player, specifically Pro Staff 85.

I find the same kind of feel and power between the two lines, the biggest gripe is the slightly more even balance of the Dunlop that makes it more sluggish than the PS85. The PS85 is a scalple at net and when serving, I can't get the same response from the Dunlops. But the Dunlops are easier to bang away from the baseline with the larger head and open string pattern (Tour version).

I string up my Dunlop at 56-58 pounds with RPM Blast. I've tried other poly's and hybrids in it (Solinco, Lux, Hurricane, etc) but that is my favorite setup and it's not even close.
