Thats very low power frame especially on serves, is the o3 so anemic on serves?
I don't like powerful frames. I prefer to generate my own power.
I can serve pretty flat and powerful but I prefer agressive exterior kick, especially on the backhand!!! :happydevil:

I don't like powerful rackets too but my tour 100 exo3 16x18 although has ingredeble slice, spin, good control, on serve is tiring me needs too much effort, thats why i play now with the DR98

The Prince O3 Tour 100!

By the way, I still wonder the tension I should choose, regarding the 19/21kg I have on ultra 100 CV with Alu Power/TGV.
I think it's a bad hybrid, sorry... Especially in a such comfy frame!
Just try a comfy poly as X-perience 17g or 16g at 23kg and let me know how you love it!!! :p

Spin, slice and control... Strictly what I need for my clay court game!! And also touch for evil drop shots, of course!!! :happydevil::D

I play with that hybride on my Ultra 100 and it's a nice hybrid IMO.

I don't know the X-perience string, I don't even know what brand it is ^^

I don't want to play again in full mono, my elbow has been fragile since last year.

But you made me curious and after having a loot at it, it's way cheaper. Maybe I'll try.

Sounds like magic, what are the cons? control?

...and my stringer in a local allround sport shop will hate me and need this boomerang tool???;)

Choose I the same string tension as with non ported frames?

thx for info!
@ludde

The 50 / 50 pattern allows me to string O3 frames without any problems.
If they don't know here is how it is done

Ok, you hyped me, I ordered 2 rackets and asked one of them strung with X-perience 1,24mm @21kg. I'm eager to have them, I have 3 or 4 tournaments end of august/beginning of Sept.
Edit : 2 Textreme O3 Tour 290gr, I don't know if this topic is also about this one.

Maybe O3 Tour vs K7 Red anyone?

Bit late answering this, but O3 (310 version) Vs K7 Red, I would say the O3 does pretty much everything better in terms of playability.

The K7 has way better feel and comfort though, and still plays pretty well in its own right.

I assume k7 red has more powerful serve?

Hard to make a true comparison as I have my K7s weighted up a fair bit heavier than my Tours and as a result they have more power across the board.

Stock I'd think they're pretty close.

Previously I said the K7s have way better comfort but actually I'm not sure that's true, having played them both a fair bit recently and strung the same, I'd say comfort is comparable. Still prefer the K7 feel though.

Also with the right weight setup the K7 keeps up pretty well in performance terms, but the Prince still has the edge for me.

I had the k7 red for a while but didn't like it, also tried almost all angels and tc95 was my favorite. I also bought the textreme 310 but no ports, great racket but a little bit firm for my taste thats why went back to dr98 but i think i will like the o3

I have a textreme tour 100T (the orange one), I wonder how the new tour 100 290 and 03 version compare ?
I've demoed both the 100t and 290. They're quite similar still, although I'd give the edge to power and stability to the 290. But control wise I would still lean the 100t. My personal preference between the 2 is actually still the older 100t. Haven't hit with the o3 290 yet but I'd imagine that one to swing the fastest and have more power, and the better spin potential of the 3.

Thank you, so the o3 could be an interesting one because I love the 100T, but if I can have a little more pop and bigger sweetspot with the same maneuvrability, it will be wonderful.

Has anyone tried the 100T and tour o3 290 ?

I have both. O3 290 [ Heritage ] delivers more of the qualities you seek
As I have play ported frames for over ten years, I admit to being biassed.
Both frames strung mains 1.20 poly @ 40 lbs // 1.30mm PSG/df
