Tsitsipas - Time to sound the alarm?

That's more the problem of the field, no Sascha's.
Also Murray won 3 Grand Slams with a WTA second serve, but let's not talk about that.;)
But equally not so much of him turning a corner - in particular with respect to the serving which you implied. Don't get me wrong, Z is obviously elite, I just thought it a funny observation that's all. The talk of his performance was the serving!

Methinks the bigger question is not how Tsitsipas managed to lose to Sinner, but how good Sinner is likely to be in a couple years.... The guy has beast-level groundies already, a serve that could/should get up into the high 130s, and is still maturing physically. He has the potential to be one of the best players to ever come out of my favorite, boot-shaped country.

I'll look at his astrology later, if I get the guarantee he does not read what I write.

Aside from that, what a player wants out of his career is an important consideration.

What does Stefano want out of tennis? Like what motivates him to keep training, and traveling, and playing?

In fairness, he's done better than last summer, where he failed to win a match at Wimbledon, Canada, Cincinnati, and the US Open. I think he's just young and inconsistent, and it's not like Raonic, Coric, and even the young Sinner are the worst players to lose to.

We all know that, but the last 4 new major champions (Murray, Wawrinka, Cilic, Thiem) were all over 25 yo. The most funny thing of them all is that Sascha was the youngest GS finalist since Djok in the US Open 2010, even with his very low quality of play and his WTA second serve.

Tsitsi could have genuinely won the whole thing if he hadn't choked against Coric. He probably realised this after Djokovic got DQed and after watching the final.
This. After seeing his first 2 (and a half) rounds I was pretty sure he'd be the biggest threat not named Djokovic. And then he threw it all away in spectacular fashion.

The concern I have is not so much with his results (although they are concerning), it's more with the matches themselves. I just don't see the "magic" in his strokes. His FH can be great, but is inconsistent. Many players can outhit him on the FH. His BH is really concerning. He doesn't volley great enough to make it a staple. And his defense/slice is not good enough. His serve underwhelming for his size.

I dunno. I think he needs to make some improvements to his strokes.

It seems obvious his head is all over the place and he's not that focused.
More fool him.
