That's my good side.

Here's a shot from the opposite angle.

DAMN......... How many Newports did you smoke Ojo Rojo ?!?!?!?!

It's interesting to see so many bottles with yellow waters in them. They must have been extinguishing cigarettes into the bottles. Why not just use one. Very unusual and creates even more rubbish on their desk.

Certainly. I think what you have said is excellent advice to encourage people cooking. If they are shown that there are even some extremely tasty foods that can be made that aren't too imtimidating to make, it will encourage people to learn cooking.

The photos of the foods you have made are fairly spectacular, so people won't start at this level. My aim with food is I will work up to it with easier cooking and 10-15 years I will have appropriate creations.

A lot of the foods in this thread have been a big influence on me and many others most likely. I can have only the vegan products but because there is so much great diversity here a lot of the things are actually vegan :)

:) Sorry for the belated reply and thanks for the nice words.

Again, all the food that I've posted here are very-farily simple to make, really. And yes, cooking is not, and should not be, "intimidating" at all. It's basically just something we do everyday, like all other houseworks. But it's much more important and enjoyable and can help bring family/people together. Just do it and believe me, you can "have appropriate creations" in no time, even as soon as tomorrow, now, certainly not having to wait for "10-15 years".

Green: I'm really glad to hear that. :) This thread is not that "specific" but imo the best thing is you got inspired.

I'm not a vegan or vegetarian but I eat plant-based food mostly and quite diversely; so if you want me to share my diet with you to maybe have more ideas with your vegan diet, I will happily do.

In my experience, the majority of people still have that outdated and biased idea about vegan/vegetarian diets that they are very restricted/boring/bland and not "nutritious" enough; while the truth is totally the opposite. The plant-based food and drink world is much vaster and more amazing imo. I'm very happy I can appreciate it to some extent. I actually can go vegan/vegetarian any time ever since I was a kid, but of course for some reasons I'm still where I'm at now. What about you? What made you go vegan, if you don't mind sharing? :)

Ojo please confirm. >__<. You should get a point penalty, I mean beer penalty for posting such thing in an eat thread. +___+

Or you can reveal to us what's the deal about those shelves behind your beer; and who's the poster boy on your wall. ;)

I would like to hear your diet.

I will not go into the full details because it is too boring but I am vegan for ethical reasons. I found out informations and for me there was no alternative but to adopt vegan eating overnight and never changed back.

Before I was vegan I was someone who ate a lot of all the things that I now would never touch so I be careful not to judge others eating foods because it is the same as what I did unfortunately :(

It's pink pomelo. Extremely pleasant flavour, nothing like the red grapefruit you normally see, which is a hybrid and much inferior in every way. One of my favourites. Loves the tree and flower as well. Everyone can eat it and at least likes it.

I also use the peels for various purposes and the rinds for cooking, like: :)

(Sweet soup/gruel with green beans, pomelo rinds, coconut sauce, cassava flour, coconut sugar, vanilla and peatnuts. Sometimes with the flowers if available. Can be eaten hot or cold.)

Bold: I totally get it. It's a bit more complicated in my case but basically it's the same. But it's been always like that since I was a kid without info and knowledge about the food industry. I just love both animals and plant food. Mostly I just cook food from meat and fish for others, and it's not regularly. And I've always liked eggs.

I gotta go now so will share my diet later. Oh btw I've meant to tell you - I still haven't gotten access to my old computer (I left it at the house for rent atm) so the old Hingis interviews will have to wait a bit longer. Sorry about that.

Maid took a sudden unannounced leave yesterday. Son's PTA meeting.

Made some kind of macaroni or something from a German packet that i can't read. Had it with leftover eggplant and leftover rajma (red beans). delicious combination.

A beetroot salad with walnuts and honey and vinegar dressing followed by a slow cooked lamb shoulder with potatoes, baby carrots and shallots.

Every single part of the meal was either homegrown/made or organic.

Wendys 4-4 now has the double stack. I get 2 frosties (keychain thing) double cheese burger, fries and chicken nuggets for $4. They let you replace the soda with a frostie.

Lol. You're quite right. Please accept my apologies for the unappetising image - just couldn't help myself :p
And @every7 was correct to spot Lou Reed on the wall. Who on earth doesn't like "Take a walk on the wild side'?
That however was not my poster - nor my wall. And I'm pleased to say neither was the filthy desktop photo!

75 cents more to substitute the lemonade for the soda. Just did it Monday

Getting it next time thanks. I really liked cherry limeaide but they stopped making it, been adding a splash of strawberry kiwi to my water.

I also got a free coupon for a burger place called "the habit" chargrilled, i thought it was going to be expensive but the double is only $4.90, and the pattys are big, 1/3lb maybe. Grilled onions are standard, fresh veggies etc.

Very good grease as well, i got onion rings, werent heavy. Will be going back.
