you kindof made my point. i don't want the crowd to just SIT THERE and clap politely. by all means, get into it. but what is the need to clap that hard when the guy you don't want to win hits a routine error at 0-4 or 0-5?? there's NO POINT. i mean, if it's 5 all . . . it's a different story . . . all bets are off!!!

Some people actually get excited by a butt-whupping. It's like oh my god everything is going Andy's way, bring ON the cream cheese and bagel. Too many different personalities in the crowd. I'd like to see SRO at a tennis match like they did one time at wimbledon when it got rained out and they had to play on the middle sunday. That atmosphere was rockin.

Wha? Are you kidding? He likes jerkiness and "emotion" on the court. He hates it when players are too subdued.
I just think JMac should have more smart @ss things to say about Andy’s temper tantrum.

So who is mentally tougher Andy or Youzny?

It was done last year or the year before, guys like agassi were quick serving people off the court.
seriously, where are you getting this from? The commentators of the last year don't seem to know about this "rule change." Can you post a link/thread on this after the match is over?

Youzhny needs to hold his serve with more authority, Roddick is doing so, he needs do that.

it's not his game though. He'll get a few easy ones when he's hitting well but he's not going to serve anyone off the court. The guy knows his game and plays it well. I guess those practice sessions with Nadal really helped him with his grinding skills.

Even if Roddick manages to pull this off, he doesn't have a chance against Fed. Look what #54 is doing to him. I'm rooting for Youhzny.

Look at what number 54 did to Nadal, Robredo, Ferrer, and Massu. He's just been playing really good tennis. Hope it continues after this tournament.

Neither of them has a great chance, unless Roddick serves 100% or something else entirely ludicrous.

Do you remember agassi vs nadal last year? Nadal was stalling like crazy in the 3rd set and agassi could do nothing about it.

Im not sure where to look this up, i thought it was common knowledge. If it werent a rule the chair would have warned youzhny or made a comment to him.

I love it when the player makes a liar out of the commentators. Great game for Y even if he has lost some off his serve.

Why are we subjected to Sharapova's "She's so Pretty" commercial? Can't stand it, have to mute it every time.

This is a great match. Roddick is getting nervous and cranky at Youhzny. His gamesmanship shows he can't beat Youhzny with his tennis game and has to rely on these antics to get at Youzhny. McEnroe should be proud; it worked for him.

If memory serves that was on Rafa’s serve not Andre’s.

It's a good question. This deserves a thread later; maybe someone will know for sure.

The commentaters always talk as if there is a rule that you're supposed to play at the server's pace. Maybe it's just an etiquette thing and not an official rule.

No, when agassi was trying to serve nadal continually held him up. Agassi was visually pissed off about it and lost the match.

I can remember it happening and you are right it was Andre's serve. I think it might have been W year before last. There was something said about within reason. I think Andre resented Rafa going to the towel every point on his serve.

I wish is still had that match on tape, ive never seen agassi that mad before. It was pretty funny match though, the biggest staller vs the biggest rusher.

Make that the ATP Masters Series Montreal, Canada in 2005.

I like the tennis ball one from lexus. That song is pretty annoying though but the end of the commercial is good.
