Wait so Yonex won't re-release their EZONE line-up this year? I thought it was a 2 year cycle?
****... I just broke my Dr98 while serving and I wanted to wait till the next update. I really don't want to wait until January to get a new racquet...I heard initial news / release will be Jan... could be wrong.... they may release at the end of the year which will pop up in stores early 2018

I'm contemplating it... probably going to get a used one. I've never bought used tennis racquets online, if you have some recommendations for me I'd be glad to dig in.Maybe just pick up a 2nd hand one then sell it later... I hope i'm wrong about end of year / new year.. I played with the Ai98 for a while and enjoyed it

There's a post in one of the other threads from a guy that emailed yonex, and the reply said april/may if I remember correctly. Tennis Magazine already got their hands on the DR98+ and really liked it apparently.**** yes.
Any idea when?
Soon? They're featured in this current issue of Tennis Magazine. Editor's Choice for Baseliners is the EZONE DR 98+.**** yes.

I saw tweet from Yonex tennis promoting that article, but unfortunately their post about it says absolute nothing. They have a tiny scan of the magazine but it was impossible to read the specs or anything.
**** me I'm in loooooooooveFrom the Tennis Magazine article:
98 sq in, 27.5 in, 4.5 pts HL, 340 SW, 59 RA, 23 mm/ 24 mm/ 19.5 mm beam, 16 x 19
And just as a reference, the original EZONE DR 98 review from Tennis Magazine has these specs:
98 sq in, 27 in, 6 pts HL, 324 SW, [NA- 'flexible'] RA, 23 mm/ 24 mm/ 19.5 mm beam, 16 x 19
And being a baseliner... I'm very intrigued. Will definitely demo this. Haven't had anything extended length since the Prince NXG Tours**** me I'm in looooooooove
Same here, I'll be demoing the thing next year most likelyAnd being a baseliner... I'm very intrigued. Will definitely demo this. Haven't had anything extended length since the Prince NXG Tours
How do you ask them? I've haven't seen an email anywhere.PS - I also asked Yonex directly. I'll update you all if I get a response.
I'm guess the racquet will release in May (or be on sale, finally, at TW around that time). Their new REXIS string comes out in May.
There's no e-mail. You send the question via the Yonex site. How do you ask them? I've haven't seen an email anywhere.

How do you know?New Ezone end of 2017 !
is there a connection between racquet length and the ra of a racquet? in other words, if you cut down a 27,5 racquet with a 59ra to 27 inch, will it still have a ra of 59 or will the ra be higher (or lower )?Damn, Yonex does it again. 59RA? How dare they? This could be a sleeper for sure.

AHHH HAAA I WAS RIGHT. SUMMER 2017!!! I mean it does make logical sense. It is a 2 year cycle.Hingis was testing a new Yonex frame (blacked out) in her IW practice. Might be a new Ezone line around US Open time.

Hmm how do you have this information??Extended length versions: EZONE DR 98 and VCORES SV 100. Both are 27.5
Tennis Magazine USA reviewed these 2 frames.Hmm how do you have this information??
No, you're confusing stringbed stiffness with racquet stiffness. When it comes to the latter the force is applied to the hoop (12 o'clock).RA is measured by applying force to the stringbed iirc, and then measuring the stiffness...
Darn it! You're undermining my efforts to be an "insider!"Tennis Magazine USA reviewed these 2 frames.

I'll definitely demo. I'm loving my DR98... and I'm also a baseliner, so, if it helps my game, I'll get one. Tennis Magazine says it will. So, it must! Are you getting one?
