Kevin Anderson-Dunlop Srixon-US Open Conspiracy

Here we have Kevin Anderson using the newly branded Dunlop Srixon racquet for the 1st time ever. This guy has sort of come out of nowhere and is now competing in the 2017 US Open final. Only days ago we find out about the Dunlop/Srixon amalgamation and here they are making it to a slam final.

When was the last Dunlop used in a slam final? I'm guessing Srixon has never ever featured in a final.

Seems absolutely incredible luck or maybe the Japanese Golf clubs giant has provided other means to get there new products into the limelight so quicky? Who Knows.

What if Kevin beats Rafa. Holy ----.

I would think the Golf Club market is huge in comparison to the tennis racquet market. Srixon are a big player, also own Cleveland Golf products. I know golfers are quite happy to spend $1000s on new clubs. Maybe there looking at the rich golfers to pick up tennis.

how is he coming out of nowhere? before he got injured he made the quarters back in 2015 iirc and beat Murray. wasn't for his injury in 2016 would have probably stayed in the top 10. also lets face it. his draw in this tourney wasn't practicing hard.

His won a couple of 250s in his career. He is not a big name player and is certainly a surprise to be in a slam final.
Its the Dunlop /Srixon that's done it.

Kevin did not fulfill his contractual obligation to Srixon. Didn't win the US Open . Still, will give a major kick start for the Dunlop Srixon racquets.

Not an easy market by any means. Nike gave up on the clubs and balls side of the business. Adidas have been looking to unload Taylor-Made (or maybe already did).

Golf clubs last for ages and there is also a very healthy market in used clubs as well as clones. Tough marketplace.
