Hi Michelle.
I was wondering on the RF 97 what string intention are you using I know it says hyper G on your file but isn’t that a very stiff string for this stick. So what gauge are you using it in if so. And maybe you have switched to another string since then? And maybe you have a recommendation for a soft and comfortable Polly
I only use Pollys I don’t really use multi filament I would definitely give the gut hybrid ago as well

@danbrenner

Hybriding would be a great way to go! I highly recommend that.

I have been testing a bunch of string actually, so only get to hit with Hyper G every now and then.

Some you could check would be Tourna Big Hitter Black 7, Signum Pro Yellow Jacket, Tour Bite Soft and Lux Element would all be great options. Or try Hyper G 18 and drop it a bit in the low 50s.

Champions Choice is the ideal option though :)

Hope that helps,

Michelle, TW

@danbrenner

Personally, I still say Hyper G would be my go-to if I were to play a tournament because I have had no reason to leave that string -- I like the control it has for my game. I probably would string it in the mid-50s. But that's me, I would recommend dropping the tension to anyone else down to about 53 lbs.

Head Lynx Yellow, I would go 16g -- but I tend to stick with 16 gauge in all the strings I use. If there is a 15 gauge option, I'd go there! I like thicker strings for that built in control just because that's what I crave from my strings.

Strings are such a personal preference though, what might work for me (and what I prefer) may not be anyone else's cup of tea ;)

Hope that helps,

Michelle, TW
