Similar rackets to the Dunlop Aerogel 300 4D

Hey all,

New to the boards here. I've been using the Dunlop Aerogel 300 4Ds for nearly 10 years. I love this racket, but the three I have are beat to shreds and are cracking. I know Dunlop stopped making quality sticks a few years ago. That said, I'm looking for some suggestions on new/similar rackets to the Dunlop Aerogel 300 4D. I'm a 5.0-5.5 player, whatever that means.

I tested out the Dunlop Srixon Revo CX 2.0, but it didn't work for me. Very open to trying other brands.

Thanks for any help!

Wilson blade 18x20 or 16x19 your choice
Prince phantom frames maybe look at 100p
Yonex Ezone std and extended
Yonex VCORE the red ones

Start with those for demos, but I might guess you’ll lean towards vcore or possibly the blade.

Still plenty of AG4ds floating around the big bay auction site, pretty sure maybe some new stock... in case you don't aero-gel with the new stuff :)

Probably a silly question, but what is the big bay auction site? I typed it in Google and found a lovely looking lake in Michigan/a site for Michigan foreclosures, hah.

I have both the AG 300 and the 300 Tour, don't know which one you're looking for
Has I'm typing, the open string pattern 300 has 3 different sellers from UK on the big auction site, and even a brand new set of grommets
The second best choice is to contact Paul Angel - he's the "father" of the AG 300, you can choose which TC 97 would fit you better
The third choice is to take a look at Donnay racquets. Nowadays it's hard to find a good flexible 98 sq.i. racquet - that's the thing I love on the 300 -and Donnay has a couple of them available. Take a look a this playtest : This got my attention, specs are very similar to the AG 300, but even flexier with a 57 RA
My last choice, but definitely not the least: we have Dunlop Srixon on our club, and until recently, my coach was using something you'd definitely like, Dunlop NT Tour 16x19 this one

I loved that Dunlop. Fantastic stick. Try the Angell K7 Red. Not the same, but there is heritage there. The Angell reminds me of the Dunlop but makes the game easier.

The Dunlop is a very unique racquet because it is relatively light (10.9oz), flexible (60 RA), and has decent swingweight (320). Those numbers are based on tenniswarehouse postings using the wayback machine. Its a tough combination to replicate in current offerings. I still have two and use them whenever I have any arm discomfort from my other frames.

I used racquet finder with the following settings:
Size: 97-100
Weight: 10.7-11.2
SW: 315-325
RA: 55-63
Pattern: 16x19

I started with 61 RA max but no racquets got returned (all the racquets below are 63 RA). Anyway, the results are:

Prokennex
QTour 300
KiQ+ Tour (300)
KiQ+ Tour 2019

Head
Graphene 360 Speed MP

I have not hit any of these racquets but this is what the search returns. I'd play around with the search parameters a bit based on changes you might like and then create a demo list. Good luck!
