It's the eyes. Fedr went Superman on us and put (sun)glasses on. Fedr's eyes/brows combo is instantly recognizable, and the shades covered them

Pretty tough draw for Federer with Cilic-Goffin-Zverev-Thiem being possible opponents from R2-SF respectively. Will be interesting to see how he measures up to the challenge.

I like that draw. He will have to come out focused and prepared for a tough week. He needs some big wins. Plus, I think the only one that makes me nervous is thiem, and I bet he won't even be there.

I agree. Would love to see the pumped up Federer from the Laver Cup. That would be something. An indoor court makes Federer a solid favourite against Thiem. Federer played him so close on courts that suit the latter so should be fairly straightforward if they are to meet I feel. I am more concerned of Zverev's resurgence.

Cilic is not the player that he used to be from 2017 first half of 2018. He has been in steep decline. Goffin doesn't have the tools to hurt Federer even at his declined level, unless Federer is completely off his game. The challenge starts with Zverev, but Federer knows how to exploit his movement. Thiem will be a tough cookie for sure.

Let's just hope fed gets to the final. I think even a loss to djoker in the finals is a good sign, unless he gets destroyed. Opportunities... that is all we can expect. Keep getting opportunities and belief will overcome it again.

Yup. There is also always the chance that Djoker won't be in the final, he hasn't been so solid this year outside of slams. Then again Fed is 38 and can lose on any day so we'll see.

Yep AO17 will never end for me. Greatest sports moment for me. That is why I can't complain about WC too much. Plus I told my wife when he broke against Rafa that I would never ask for another match if I got this one. Soo... I got the one I wanted.
