Those new bandana's Nadal and Fed wear seem to be very popular these days, i'd be curious to try it out.

I fit in with the old-new schooler's with the synthetic hat worn the RIGHT way(yeah, none of this backward BS)

my preference is a backwards hat. headbands, although cool-looking for pros like federer and nadal, look just plain stupid on anyone else. headbands haven't been cool since borg and mcenroe wore them

I wear the whatever makes me play better. I mean, if the bandana makes you run like Nadal and hit forehands like Federer, then I would go that route; unless the headband makes you hit Blake forehands or the hat makes you hit serves like Roddick, then go for that option.

Seriously, I use all of the above and they all work. The decision usually depends on the laundry situation. Good Luck.

To the original poster- Wear whatever makes you play better. For me, a hat makes my head too hot so I don't wear one. So for me, it's bandana, head band, or visor. Even though most would argue that the visor is the worst look (for a guy), it's my best option because I get the shade without the head heat. I don't particularly care what my opponent thinks of my look, I only care what they think of my game.

I like dressing up like the pros (the Nike endorsed ones, that is). People most likely think I'm a complete loser tryin' to dress up like the pros and I can't play tennis... until I beat them.

I wear the backwards hats (and the "right" way, too, when it's sunny). I wear the Federer bandanas in several different colors. I wear what I feel is necessary for that particular playing condition. If the sun's out, then I'll do the hat or visor. If it's hot indoors, then I'll wear a bandana 'cause it's light and catches the sweat.

I really like when people don't take me seriously and then I end up beating them.... 'cause I'm really not all that good. :)

Ok I had a tournament, and I decided to go with the backwards hat (sorry Urza).

but just in case if you do decide to wear a bandana be positive that you kick butt

there is this one kid who plays in my area who is not even good at all and he wears a bandana and is the laughing stock of the entire area.

bandana is the most lightweight and thinnest. It also evaporates sweat the quickest and your head won't feel so hot. Why do you think some people are switching over from sweat soaking headbands?

don't worry what people think if you wear whatever. F*#& them, you don't have to prove anything to them.

I sometimes wear a headband like the ones for basketball. I have long hair, and although I may look like a fool, I like my old-school look. Occasionally I would wear a bandana, but not the Nike ones or any branded ones. Instead I just buy a generic white one, and stencil a design on it. My favorite being my Karate Kid bandana.

I wear one of those dri fit hats. Got it from a local shop on clearance for $5.

I was using a cotton hat before and it got my head way to hot.

i love playing in sweat bands. fashion isn't what i'm going for, it's just what feels good. i can't keep a hat on when serving and my bandanas always get loose after a while, so i take it old school. my hair is long and i don't like to pull it back, so i kinda' pull a feliciano lopez, except with a sweat band.

I bought the retro borg headband from the auction site. It looks just like what he wore. Maybe i will use it one day when my hair is long enough.

i usually wear either badanas or nothing (my hair is not THAT long - kinda like the way fed's is now). i find that wearing a headband or a bandana kinda helps with the glare on really sunny days. weird
