I know op gave that option, but we are talking about rivalry, not one player destroying other most of times...
For me personally.
Certainly can't hate on anyone saying Borg/Mac or Agassi/Petros
I know op gave that option, but we are talking about rivalry, not one player destroying other most of times...
But Djokovic totally destroying Nadal all the time starting from 2014 is a great rivalry.I know op gave that option, but we are talking about rivalry, not one player destroying other most of times...
10-4, but okNadal was Fed's ONLY rival, which in itself made it a rivalry by default. Fed held him off at Wimby twice in the peak of the rivalry, and every match was a must-see event, like tennis hasn't seen since. The last slam that had that "I have to see this" feel was AO17 final, and they were both 30 plus.
10-4, but ok
I understand why you love this "rivalry", I love Novak vs Federer in similar way...
It's actually a rivalry, 9:6 clay dominated, so about even...But Djokovic totally destroying Nadal all the time starting from 2014 is a great rivalry.
No, starting from 2014 it's not a rivalry at all. Not even close. At least Federer and Nadal had many close matches. It's actually a rivalry, 9:6 clay dominated, so about even...
Yes, you are media hype victim... It's understandable, nothing to shame of, many fallen on that as you mention in your post... Off course, there were great matches, but some other real rivalries are better...I liked it bc it felt like a big deal and had people talking that didn't even watch tennis. I knew people that would watch their matches bc they heard of them, etc
Saying many, you think of one?No, starting from 2014 it's not a rivalry at all. Not even close. At least Federer and Nadal had many close matches.
I would call this circus, not real tennis...
Kings
I would call this circus, not real tennis...
The media hype, biggest problem of modern world...
You think 24-16 is too lopsided to be considered a rivalry? They must be passing around some good shlt on that anti-Fed bandwagon.I know op gave that option, but we are talking about rivalry, not one player destroying other most of times...
Really? You do know Fed lost, right?I would call this circus, not real tennis...
The media hype, biggest problem of modern world...
Evert - Navratilova
I know op gave that option, but we are talking about rivalry, not one player destroying other most of times...

Don't count Mickey Mouse tournaments, please... Fed fans for years had narrative of slams, slams, slams... I like to please them, so 10:4 it is...You think 24-16 is too lopsided to be considered a rivalry? They must be passing around some good shlt on that anti-Fed bandwagon.
Haven't watched, don't know result... better to rewatch some real tennis match... I love basketball too but never watch All Star games... Circus...Really? You do know Fed lost, right?
Hard courts are not only surface in tennis...Djokodal has been no better.
It's 20-7 on HC if I am correct. With no close slam matches on that surface for like 8 years.
When both were in their primes there was only one match which was a beatdown, and this is RG 2008 final.Saying many, you think of one?
Haven't watched, don't know result... better to rewatch some real tennis match... I love basketball too but never watch All Star games... Circus...
Hahaha... You are not real... See you...When both were in their primes there was only one match which was a beatdown, and this is RG 2008 final.
Off course they did, off course...Trust me, they were playing to win
Off course they did, off course...
It is the surface 90% of players concentrate on...Hard courts are not only surface in tennis...
Strange that it is European players growing up playing on clay that dominate the tour then...It is the surface 90% of players concentrate on...
What if in the former player section people didn't watch current tennis? It is probably Borg McEnroe since tennis was a superstar thing back then. We are talking Lady Diana fandom. But that is long time ago now and belongs to former pro player section.
I think @Lew II would have a more decent poll if you posted it there, since it’s more posters there who knows and have watched more tennis than in here where most started to watch tennis late, after Fedal rivalries even started.
Amazing that some of them are even better on other surfaces than the one they grew up playing on...Strange that it is European players growing up playing on clay that dominate the tour then...
Should ring a bell for the ones that is against clay, shouldn’t it?Amazing that some of them are even better on other surfaces than the one they grew up playing on...
They watch more current tennis than the bandwagoners in here has watched before 2010.What if in the former player section people didn't watch current tennis?
If Seles wasn't stabbed, you'd be onto something.Voted 'other' because the poll is an example of blatant patriarchal sexism.
I wish Andy Murray were here to set you guys straight.
-Damn you got there just before me.
in the men’s game, it’s between Laver - Rosewall (for number of matches and kick starting the Open Era), Borg - McEnroe (for its iconic nature) and Federer - Nadal (no explanation required).
Good one!Djokovic vs Fedal

Not to mention personality contrast. Lunch pail kind of guy vs Image is everything. Then lunch pail guy vs zen master. For me is more interessant two different style to see.
This is why the most interessant could be Sampras Agassi.
