reebok match day pumps

How are they?
I'm thinking of buying them, hearing about the low price and comfort.
My feet do get hot and sweaty, in this case, are match day pumps the best fit for me?

I own a pair, and I'll say this. ALthough people claim they're too heavy, I disagree with. As for ventilation, it will mostly be noticable on the hottest summer days. Comfort and durability are top notch, as is fit.

That's harsh but found some Diadora shoes cheap that have it all, low to the ground, excellent cushioning, long wearing, and have a guarrantee.

Well, since I own a pair, and do like their comfort and cushioning for knee purposes (if not for the souls of my feet, which they make ache for some reason), I feel I have the right to make fun of them, or wear them when I'm entertaining children at birthday parties.

Your Diadora's sound too good to be true. Elaborate.

I had a very brief love affair with the K-Swiss Defier's, but things turned ugly. We may get back to together, but too soon to tell.

I hear Yonex 304 is another "has it all shoe" like the ones you brag about...

to me, they're one of the most comfortable shoes i've ever worn. it has tons of cushioning....and when loose, it feels like a pillow. durability is also very good. usually i completely wear through bfII outsole in 3-4 months, but the mdp i've worn for 5 months now and has basically no wear on the outsole.

the weight of the shoe might seem daunting at first....but seriously, 10 oz isn't much extra weight for your feet. i think the only downside to this shoe is the ventilation, or the lack of it. it doesn't really bother me for about an hour or so, but after two hours of running, changing directions, and split steps, it gets to be unbearable.

but imean for the price, (50 bucks i think) you can't beat the comfort and cushioning it provides. i'd recommend getting a pair just for the comfort actually. but i'd have a pair of shoes like bfII or barricades for tough match play.

ps. the pumps basically useless....it takes about 100 pumps to make it feel just a bit stiffer.

I ordered them from TW and sent them back a day later. I didn't think they were that comfortable, they were hot, and even uglier than they looked in the pictures. I wound up getting some Nike Air Max Breathes which were $40 more but WELL worth it.

My daughter was mortified when she saw me in the MDP's: "Dad!!"

Those Diadora's look decent, but not super light like those Yonex ones... In any case, I'm very frustrated by the shoe issue these days. I find that one really needs to play a few times and perhaps on different surfaces before being able to see if a shoe truly works for them and doesn't cause discomfort or aggravate old injuries, and by that time, it's too late -- you've already bought 'em.

Wish TW had a demo program for shoes...

Of course once you find the right shoe its discontinued a year later. Also tried the Diadora Speedzone, just not enough support.

Love the MDP, they work for me. Very comfortable. Anyone who thinks they are too heavy is a wuss - I manage to go through the toe just in time to cash in on the six month warranty.

Another offering from Reebok worth considering is the Netmasters. Decent cushioning, lighter, and very nice looking. I find the fit on the narrow side though. Do a search if interested -- lot of rave reviews for this shoe.

A warning to anyone who is prone to twisting their ankles. MDP are a sprain waiting to happen. If you wear then use ankle braces.

These tanks are not very maneuverable imo
and they are kinda high off the ground also, I don't like them that much

I'm a pretty big guy at 6'2" with knee issues and have been curious about MDP's for awhile. Alot of you guys who like these speak of their great cushioning. Do they really offer as much cushioning as the Reebok shoes with DMX? Like the upset DMX etc.? THe description of the midsole on TW sounds very similar to the midsole description for the premiere pros, and I find my upsets to have better cushioning (for my knees) than my premiere pros. Thanks for any input.

The cushioning part is not that great after a few weeks. I mean it's ok, but I was not "astounded" by the shoes' overall qualities at all

None of these shoes have the cushioning of the old Nike Air Max tennis shoes or even the Born shoes/sandals. Like full pillows under your feet.

Heck yes. I use to use the Nike Air Max Persistance. Great shoes and they stopped making them. I'd love to find something close to them.
