Seems very cocky in these wtt matches. Am i wrong in this observation?

Yeah I think that he is really cocky. After watching him play a few matches on the WTT, he looks like he thinks he is some hot sh*t. I am now wondering why he is acting like this.

That and he is Now at the Highest point of his career right now, and also at the peak of his confidence level. Why you ask ? he is probably the best singles player in WTT right now, singles field in WTT is not that strong. and also he won the Bronx challenger event just 2 weeks ago, which had fairly strong field considering it was a challenger event. so you have your answer.:grin:

I saw him play Jeff Tarango in a WTT singles match. Seriously a current ATP player ranked inside the top 200 has no business playing a 41 year old has-been who was never really a great singles player. But he didn't come across cocky to me. He has improved since the last time I saw him on TV (last year WTT since he rarely makes ESPN). His serve looks better or maybe it was just Tarango hasn't seen a 120 mph + serve in about 5 years

no he divorced the French Chick- yes the one from the famous Wimbledon incident. He is back in California or that is what they said on TV.

Its hard to tell with him. I was a ballboy for a couple of Sam's matches and definitely sensed some cockiness but it kind of seemed like it could be is normal attitude.

I grew up in NorCal and I'm roughly the same age as Sam. He never seemed like that cocky of a person. It seemed like he was always in the top 3 ranked juniors for NorCal growing up and he was always a pretty nice guy. I saw him absolutely demolish some opponents and then say nice things about them afterwards. I saw some interview video of him after a challenger final and he didn't sound cocky at all.
