Sneaker Question - POST Meniscus tear Tennis Shoes

Hi guys, so i had my surgery a few weeks back and doing my PT now.
I am planning to get back to it in about 6-8 weeks (I had a partial-menesectimy) and doc typically allow training 3-4 weeks after. I plan on being most conservative and rehab for 2 full months, and play only after i am 100% sure i have healed.

My question is, what are the best tennis shoes for people who have these knee problems and who want the most cushioned shoes out there?
I hear Prince T-10 is great, but what is trully the most cushioned shoe out there for tennis?
I also have slightly W-I-D-E feet, so also keep that in mind. I will be placing othrotics in the shoe as well.

Thanks

Shoes for knee rehabbers

I had meniscus related knee problems in the past and went thru extensive PT to strenthen the surrounding muscles, which is really all you can do.

As for shoes, I am pretty fanatical about not wearing shoes that don't have sufficient traction. Face it, if you've got a knee that is not structurally sound, you don't want your foot to slip out from underneath you when you've put weight on it. I personally like the Nike BF IIs, though they may not be ideal for someone with wide feet. Some people have indicated that the the newer Breathe Cages are slightly wider.

Good luck...

Well the best way to deal with meniscus is surgery with repair or partion take out. In the end, you will always feel it and you cannot do PT for all your life.
In any event, that's not the point of this post.
I hear NIKES are crap in the cushioning and shock-absorbing catagory.... i was thinking more like new balance/Prince/K-Swiss maybe?

I am a big fan of the BF II & they've gotten good reviews on TW.

Whenever I've worn New Balance or K-Swiss in the (not-so-recent) past, they've given me blisters, so that was a big minus in my book.

I had meniscus surgery a few years ago. I also do not have an ACL due to an old injury, so I must wear a knee brace. Obviously, cushioning is a priority for my knees. I have had the best success with Prince shoes, as the fit is good & the cushioning holds up well.
I am alternating between the T10 & QT Scream 2 & like them both.
Outsole durability of both is also a plus.
I am always on the lookout for well cushioned shoes, so any other input is welcome

I had acute meniscus tendon seperation in my knee and i got a pair of yonex shoes and they were really cushioned well.

Have you thought about the Barricade IV's? I wear them with Thorlo Level 3 sock, SOLE insoles (highly recommend these!!) and Kallasey ankle braces and my knees have been stable so far.

Which kind of knee brace do you wear? I am thinking of playing with braces as a preventative measure because I used to be a heavy runner. If you could offer any suggestions on how to pick a good knee brace, I would appreciate it.
